Episode 14 - "Distractions" - Discussion Thread 2/5/07

I think Matt may be the one to die this month, but seems so out of the blue since his character is so underused imo

Nah he is to important to the cause plus he is seen in Pete's dream to be in NYC.

Everyone was saying it but i thought it was to obvious to be Nathan. I thought it would have been a perfect time to actually introduce Linderman's character.

I like how they are handling Peters powers. Hopefully next week we will see him fly on his own :woot:

I think Linderman wouldn't have made any sense.

I mean why the hell would you hide your daughter with HRG if you're Linderman?! :word:

This episode sucked :down...this is the first episode of Heroes I thought was bad.

First off, the psychologist/Jessica showdown was terrible. It was rushed...I thought Niki/Jessica would go more into her past and give more depth about her

Hiro's story with his father was just bad..>I knew it would suck. Not everyone in this show has to meet their father, seriously :o

Peter and Invisible man became very annoying...VERY fast.

Issac and Simmone's storylines are literally pointless at this moment.

Sylar at claire's house was just plain boring...he acted like a corny comic book villain

...the only story that had my interest was Claire's....that is until I found out who the father was :( ....how stupid, its just weird. Now we have another whole family of supers, great :whatever:

I just hope he doesn't keep going nutty with all those powers going through his head...

Hiro's dad sure does growl a lot. :p
he kept making some weird fish face...kinda freaked me out.

what character development? that Peter is passionate? that Nathan is cautious? that Nikki's dead sister is inhabiting her body? that Matt hears thoughts? that the Haitian has a tender side? that Hiro is nerdy and naive? all of this has been established. again, i'm all for character development; we've seen good examples of it in the first 11 episodes. these last two have been coasting. honestly, an entire episode of Hiro running around and hiding in a garage from some unnecessarily mysterious men. a shrink who isn't serving any purpose. DL phasing into a cell to say, "damn, baby! it's hard doing it by myself!"

look, obviously they've chopped the story/episodes up from what they were originally going to be. for example, the online comic said, "meet Hana in january 22nd's episode". we didn't. we've seen previews that have yet come to pass. someone has been very busy in the editing room and the last two shows have suffered because of it.
for every character that gets some, there's the other ones in the dangling plot lines that don't. patience is the key.

having said that...some of these storylines are puttering out. namely Jessica/Nikki and Hiro.

Tim Sale does all of Issac's art. :D I love his stuff.
Tim Sale is teh awesomest!!

George Takei has an awesome voice
that he do!!

The shrink didn't make it. D'oh!
every time i see her of think of her cameo in Little Miss Sunshine.

"Sir, you are not the only person who has had someone die in this hospital today!"

Damn good ep. Does claire feel pain? It seemed like she did in the first few episodes but I guess she has gotten used to it. I hope jessica kills niki and takes over once and for all.
anything to make that storyline end or get interesting sooner is alright by me

That is probably thereason why Peter blows up. He will probably start using these powers to much & rely on them like hell. It should be interesting now that Peter knows how to use that power

The First Family:word:

I just loved the way Claude all of a sudden punched Peter once Peter found out how to use his abilities. That was awesome :woot:

Nate is a true player in this show...and has a thing for blondes.

Every man's weakness.

Too many powers in him and it's making him nutty.

*coughsRogue*

Dang, stupid cold.

:p
that's who he reminds me of, but at least it doesn't seem like he gets all those folks' personalities as well. :D
