Escape from New York (Remake)

If you "HAD" to recast Plisskin...do you like the choice of Gerard Butler???

  • Yes I like him...not sure if he's my top choice but...I like it! :)

  • No he's not right for the role at all. :(

  • Not bad but...I'm not sure yet...need to give it more time.

I'm hot for this movie. Gerard Butler is a licensed badass.

I liked his performance in Phantom of the Opera, but I never saw 300. Watched the trailer a couple of times, and it just wasn't my type of film. I really don't know if he can pull off the combination of badass and silent compassion that Kurt Russell brought to the character. Speaking of which, I'm still waiting for Paramount to give Escape from L.A. a proper DVD treatment...:csad:

Finally. I thought I was the only one.

I think you must be thinking of one of the many Harry Potter movies. Surely that's what you meant, because LFDH was awesome.
No harry potter movies get better with each one. Die Hard movies keep going from oh hell yeah awesome to, oh my god please kill me the sidekick is annoying as hell.

All of the Harry Potter movies are better than LFDH because none of the Harry Potter movies had the f**king kid from "Accepted" in them.

the kid from Accepted surprised me. he seemed like one of those actors who would always be stuck doing the same kind of movies (dodgeball, and accepted) but he managed to do a great job in this movie.

i loved die hard 4... if we hadn't gotten so many damn good action movies this year, i'd say it was the best one... but it's still in the top rankings.

Accepted was one of the most hilarious movies I've seen in the past 5 years, so I fail to see how that's remotely a negative.

so wiseman got the gig? that sucks. he's an awful director.

In all honesty, I wasnt that enthused about them remaking this anyway. I hope you all enjoy your dumb blue filtered sanitised PG-13 souless remake...I think Ill go and watch the original thanks.......

I am really happy with Wisemen

I don't think they have much of a chance of duplicating the feel of the original, so if they go for a balls out action movie with the premise of dystopian new york, and Gerry Butler I think they can make it sweet

this is kind of a funny sentence....but true I guess haha

This just in Len Wiseman the director of Live Free or Die Hard and The Underworld movies set to Direct.
