I don't know why the **** Longoria would be carrying an Avengers comic... someone must have mentioned something to her. I don't know if she knows RDJ or Favreau or any of these guys personally. No one is saying she has been casted yet. But she is someone people are familiar with. It's not a bad line of thought.

^And it's not like she's coming out of a comic store, she's coming out of the Marvel Comics offices. As for not having a director, maybe they do have one and it just hasn't been announced yet

Thats what I was thinking. She could be in the Ant-Man movie as Pyms sidekick/love intrest. Plus she could also make a cameo in Iron Man 2 as shes a member of the Avengers/Unlitmates or an apperance at one of Starks parties as she is a socialite.

I think since SM4 and BB3 want to come out in 2011... Ant-Man could be the June sandwich movie. Everything gets pushed back a year. The reason why I bring this up is because I thought Marvel was serious about an Ant-Man movie BEFORE Avengers. Or perhaps Thor won't be ready by 2010??? Who knows.

I can honestly say I have no problem with Eva being a part of the Avengers. She's good to look at...and it'll be nice to see her in something other than a comedy for once. I have a good feeling that she can do the emotion needed for whatever role.

Funny the first thing I thought of like everyone else was Wasp.
I think Eva might surprise us though. She has done some physical stuff on Desperate Housewives, minor and rare, but I think she has potential.

I've got no problem with Longoria as the Wasp. None whatsoever.

As has been suggested though, with the Avengers being years away, perhaps Longoria's gonna play the Wasp in the Ant-man movie.

And kudos to the posters who have managed to mention the size of the role. No puns intended, I'm sure.

She is quite small in height so she'd be perfect. It's solid casting IMO. But I don't think we need the likes of Pitt and Damon. I doubt they'd be willing to get into shape for a commercial/blockbuster type role. I think they have moved on from that point in their careers. I think I can live with unknowns for Captain America and Thor. Ant-Man needs a recognizable name if he is to cameo in Iron Man 2 or appear in his own film prior to Avengers but I don't see either of those things happening.

Huh...I think we need big names for everyone in the Avengers. That's just my opinion though. It doesn't even have to be Pitt and Damon. But we need a couple big names for them IMO.

Don't count out the size of Wasp's role in the Avengers. She's likely to be our perspective to a lot of this. So internal monologues and exposition should be expected. Plus her growth as a character is dynamic. She grows up alot from the early days. Even if she still likes to get her hair did.

I'm just saying it'll probably mostly be Thor, Cap, and Iron Man. Everyone else will be MUCH less focused on.

I must say, she's probably the last person I would have expected for Wasp. Are they casting this movie without anyone knowing?

But I would think that might be why she's leaving Marvel with a bunch of comics in hand, because she really don't look like the type of would who would be into comic books?

Is it me or does it look like she's hold the comic out on purpose to let people see it? Almost like she wants us to talk about this.

Also, seeing how she is in interviews, she seems like the type of woman that would get on Pym's nerves.

SUPPOSEDLY. It said Beverly Hills. I know it's in Beverly Hills. But it didn't say walking out of the office in Beverly Hills.
