I think we need a thread in this sub-forum specifically for Shield-related discussions. Discussions about:
Helicarriers(when and how to use them);
Shield gear, outfits, weapons, etc.;
Shield agents beyond those we've already seen(who would you like to see show up and who would you like to see play them)
;
How you would like to see Shield integrated further into the Marvel Movie Universe;
etc.
I have to say right now I've got helicarriers on the brain, and figuring out how best to introduce and use them in the movies(whether it be IM2 or a later film).
Enjoy the discussion.
I was watching The Incredible Hulk the other day and I realized, those suits are the perfect suits for a Shield field agent. Of course I'm talking about the suits Bolonsky and his operatives wore during the chase through the city and then the fight at the factory. Helmets don't matter to me but ski masks would just be totally awesome. Agent Coulson and his team could be considered a 'lower threat' level squad seeing how Iron Monger is no where near the threat Hulk is. The weapons they use could be what are also used in TIH. I don't see why not. The guns are highly effective. I mean, I would rather have guys dressed for business than business guys with guns chasing around the super villains of the Marvel U.
Lower Level Agents:
Field/High Level Agents:
These of course aren't actual Shield agents (Well, we at least know Bolonksy wasn't).
I wish I still had my Civil War book so I could scan the suits that the Shield agents have in that. The issue where Captain America jumps out of the top of Shield headquarters after being confronted by Hill and like 50 agents (he won the fight but still left). Those suits are perfect for Movieverse, to say the least.
The Shield Hellicarrier should only be hinted at, say eventually after Stark says yes and joins, he passes by Fury's office to give him the blue prints and arc reactor tech. The full blown Helicarrier so soon would and or could be a turn off for the general movie audience. What's to even say they're going to have one? Favreau is a realist, I doubt he'd go for a giant ass ship floating around every where.
The Shield agents are what made me fall in love with Iron Man, other than Downy, Potts, Stane, the suit, story and, action but I just generally loved them and how they didn't confront Iron Monger with fear but guns blazing. I hope we see Shield agents a ton more and not just as small roles. I hope we get to see Nick Fury and him kicking some butt for once and, most of all, I hope it all works out in the end.
