The Dark Knight Exclusive New TDK Set Report!

Oh no! I've been discovered! lol

Run for the hills. You know, I've been to every geek site on the web, and no one else has the info i gave on the movie. i don't know if that's cool or disappointing. i don't know if we're that good or if others are that bad.

Guess no one else cares that friggin full-on Two-Face has been confirmed and his scenes have been shot.

Where just that cool

Going back NoirMan's original post. I really hope Two Face blasts Maroni and a dirty cop in the face (he reported it was a cop) in this scene. It would be a cool little homage to Godfather - remember Michael's face in that scene? It was all *****ed up.

If Two Face is going to be in TDK, I don't want him to be the Two Face just yet, I'd rather he just be a vengeful deformed Harvey Dent to end TDK, taking out a couple baddies for his own satisfaction and giving us hints of where his mind is going to take him.

You know? I'd don't want him to immediately go "MY FACE IS HALF MELTED, I MUST BE EEEEVIL NOW." I want to see the guy that tried to clean up Gotham in TDK be carefully developed into a villian not immediately transformed.

I think you might be on the right track. From what I saw of Eckhart's costume, there was no split in color or design in his clothing. I personally did not see the scarring on his face, but my fellow set watchers saw his neck and jaw all messed up (from what could be seen under his hood). So I'm thinking the same thing. I'm thinking he only recently gets scarred and something really bad happens to a cop while he's in that bar.

Him blasting Maroni wouldn't make much sense, as anyone who just threw acid in a District Attorney's face couldn't possibly be in a bar.

I still say Vernon Fields is the likely candidate for being done in.

That's only if we get the original Two Face origin and I don't think that is a guarantee.

Regardless, whoever he kills, all I want to see from him in TDK is an act of vengence.

I was late getting to them, so never read the Sides, but I thought the courtroom scene was already in there.

asking the wrong guy. All I've got going the info I'm collecting from places like this and I haven't seen the court room yet.

Can anyone help us out?

We don´t know nothing on Two-Face´s origin in TDK but Eckhart has commented on it a bit when talking to MTV back in February...

Is Eckhart exclusively Harvey Dent in "The Dark Knight"?

"Yeah," Eckhart said, before reconsidering after a brief pause, "Well, I'm Harvey Dent ... then I go into Harvey Two-Face."

And what of speculation that, in this new installment, it's going to be the Joker (played by Heath Ledger) who scars the eager district attorney?

"I think I'll be killed [if I comment on that] — I'm not even sure I can say as much as I have," Eckhart joked as a wicked, Dent-ian smile broke across his face. "There are snipers looking at me right now!

It would be nice if we see a glimpse of two-face. In my opinion, they shouldn't show his scarred side in all it's "glory" in this film. :cwink:

He was great in Thank You For Smoking. I think he'll be the best Harvey to date.

Ive been catching up with this thread for the past hour now, and I live in St. Louis, so its quarter after 4 in the morning here. Oh well, I love me some Batman.

Either way, congratulations NoirMan and Holy Orphan- you are a couple of lucky bastards.

Moving on, I'm planning on coming up to Chi-Town to catch the filming soon, either with my buddies, or by myself, so I may drop you guys a line and see if Mr. Nolan remembers you. Maybe do a fellow midwestern Bat-fan the favor of a lifetime? Just joking...

ANYWAY- from what Ive been reading, and thinking, about this set report, is it possible that Dent doesnt get scarred in court at all? Im thinking more along the lines of Maroni gets out, the Joker continues to wreak havoc, yada yada, Dent goes to a bar to drown his sorrows, and either a Maroni thug or a Joker thug surprises him with a shot of acid instead of a shot of Jack Daniels. This could explain why he is reportedly bald, the stained suit, and why it looked boiled over. Perhaps we won't be seeing Two-Face, just a horribly, horribly disfigured Harvey Dent. Just my opinion.

First rate Herr Ziffer!

Yes, I think he's a great actor and I've only seen him in the pledge and Erin Brokovich so far, so that means something.

Well that sucks, I prefer it it was in the courtroom.:csad:

I think we can assume that this is the route they'll be going. We haven't had "MY FACE IS HALF MELTED, I MUST BE EEEEEVIL NOW" since the character's early days. Even in more recent comic interpretations, he's become a more psychologically complex character.

The first development seemed to be the idea that Harvey Dent was always screwed up in the head, and the Two-Face persona gave him an outlet for that. This was a concept expanded on in The Animated Series, with the figure of "Big Bad Harv".

And then "The Long Halloween" came along, and seemed to go the opposite route. Rather than making Harvey Dent more like Two-Face, they've made Two-Face more like Harvey Dent. Loeb's Two-Face has the same goals as Dent, but just crosses the line of right and wrong to achieve them. For example, while Dent wanted to bring Falcone down, but was constantly prevented by the beurocracy of the legal system, Two-Face brought down Falcone with two bullets in the head. It's like The Joker said in "Dark Victory": "Harv and Two-Face weren't all that different. In the end, all either of them wanted to do was get rid of a bunch of gangsters."

I see Two-Face as something of a combination of these two concepts. There definitely shouldn't be a "BAM! I'm evil now!" moment. It should be a gradual progression, to the point where you almost don't notice the moment he crosses over from vengeful victim to all-out villain.

I don't think that's the case. Eckhart was in make-up the entire time, so there's not really anyway "Harvey" can be in any of the scenes. Also scene were shot where Two-Face wasn't in the bar. Could be scenes that take place earlier in the movie.

Yeah, someone gets it hard in that scene from what I was told. I don't think Maroni will be in the scene though. None of the other actors fit his look or age. One guy did look like what I called "Gotham Sleeze", but I still have no clue who he was palying. I could've talked to the actors and found out, but I really wanted them to have some space.

to me, this side points to the fact that harvey is just about to get his face burned to ****:

INT. COURTROOM, SUPERIOR COURT -- DAY

Rossi takes a SIP of water. The PROSECUTOR approaches.

PROSECUTOR
With Carmine Falcone in Arkham, someone must've stepped up to run the so-called family
(Rossi nods)
Is this man in the courtroom today?
(Rossi nods again)
Could you identify him for us, please?

The Prosecutor turns to the defendant, smiles.

ROSSI
You win counselor. It was me.

The Prosecutor's smile disappears. He turns back to Rossi.

PROSECUTOR
Say again.

ROSSI
I'll say it how many times you want. I'm the guy.

PROSECUTOR
Mr. Rossi, I'm confused...

ROSSI
Must be dumb then, huh?

PROSECUTOR
Need the court remind you that you are under oath?

ROSSI
Nope. I'm good.

PROSECUTOR
I've got a sworn statement from you that this man, Salvatore Maroni, is the new head of the Falcone crime family.

ROSSI
Maroni? He's a fall guy. I'm the brains of the organization.

LAUGHS from the gallery. The PROSECUTOR turns to the JUDGE.

PROSECUTOR
Permission to treat the witness as hostile?

ROSSI
Hostile? I'll show you hostile

Something like this could would be best. Even Batman Forever showed a brief video of Dent getting scarred in the courtroom.
