Detective Wuertz, at a booth looks up at the TV, bored.

BARTENDER (CONT’D)
Shouldn’t you be out there, you know, doing something?

WUERTZ
It’s my day off.

BARTENDER
You’re a piece of work, you know that.

WUERTZ
I mind my own. You should do the same.

The Bartender shuts the register.

BARTENDER
I gotta take a leak, keep an eye on things, will ya?

Possible. We could end TDK with the actual scarring of Harvey. And as a little gift the fans, a small scene introducing Two-Face.

If this is Two-Face's only scene, it doesn't add/detract from TDK.

Well depending how you see it really, It would be better if we didn't see his face at all just to have his two face appearence revealed in part 3.

because then we would already know what he looks like it woudn't be the same to some people iam sure. However it depends maybe he was lit very dark you know maybe he's sitting in the bar and we see glimpses of his scarred side, like his burned side could be mostly in shadows giving us glimpses of the damaged tissue but not a clear look. Now that would be a great teaser for part 3. I mean they could be doing that too, remember the first nightmare on elm street? the first time we see freddy in the dark alley we don't see his face burns too clear. Something like that but showing even less.

hmm... then if the tv in the cop bar is reporting the mall explosion ( perhaps joker messing up gotham before the evacuation / ferry scene..maybe ) and dent then walks in and headshots the cop - does this suggest that harvey does indeed become two face during the central part / finale of the movie? or maybe.. maybe..the side isnt right or ..i give up.

that cop does seem a bit lazy and lame.. maybe two face is angry is for a reason, not random mentalist behavior...
personally i hope this twoface execution is just the final tease of the newly darkside harvey dent before the credits roll.

My company was involved with some of this film's pre-vis, which is 3 Dimensional Computer Generated models of shot for shot of what will be on the film. I do not recall this scene, though the final scene of the film (as well as the first scene) takes place of the Gotham City Police Department rooftop. We were given story boards and script pages; and I recall the final scenes dialogue includes something about an accident at the hospital Harvey Dent was staying at.

Hope this helps! I might be able to get more info out of my coworkers tomorrow!

that scene is very "unpacked," it reads like the final scene of a movie- after the big finale (with the final shot being two face killing a cop). man what a way to end TDK if so. honestly brilliant. it's a cliffhanger without leaving things up in the air

maybe joker does peel off harveys face in the hospital piece by piece with a scalpal. like the joker claims to . after dent is in there after previous ( courtroom? ) accident / acid-dent .. it would explain twofaces symetry, the line down the middle..

that would be pretty dark / funny.

Perhaps Maroni throws acid in Harvey's face, putting him in the hospital ... Then the Joker finishes the job ?

could be cool.. and what a scene..

so after the acid attack goes down in the courtroom.. joker sneaks into the hospital and 'operates' on harvey..then harvey wakes up into the new reality joker has created for him, and he loses his mind.. dark!!! and all speculation of course!

reminds me of 'eyes without a face' .. i bet nolan references this.

This Two-Face scene must be one of the last in the film. It could be that Maroni (or whoever) is in the bar, Two-Face enters, kills everybody, and then walks off into the shadows, waiting...

Cut to a scene with Bats and Gordon talking on the rooftop about Harvey's fall, with Batman jumping off the rooftop, like in BB.
