The Dark Knight Exclusive TDK Set Report #2!

It seems pretty noticeable to me in TAS. So what if it´s a little more noticeable anyway? What does it take away from the character. specifically? Black around the eyes, make them move visible, gives them a quasi-glow, and makes them creepier in a way. What´s the problem with that?
I never said it takes away from the character, or that there was anything wrong with it. I just said it was more noticeable than in previous incarnations - I have never heard this level of discussion about the eyes before, and (IMO) they are not as pronounced as in Heath's look. Black makes them more visible? How? I can see comic Joker's eyes just fine without any black around them. We haven't had a clear view of Heath's eyes yet, so you definitely can't say this.

C'mon man, you've reached for an explanation in like every single sentence...

That´s what we do in debate, we give an opinion and explain ithe reasons for it, it´s the basic concept of it.

I meant visible in the sense that it highlights them more, the black makes the white of the eyes more pronounced by contrast.

I meant "reaching". As in exaggerating certain facets of your argument to further your point.

I´ve explained what I meant with the black around the eyes. It´s a concept often used in horror, I don´t think I exaggerated anything. Maybe the term "visible" was a little misinterpreted, but I explained to itsthebatman what I meant by it.

I have to support you on this. I was face to face with the Joker, and staring into those eyes almost made me piss myself. They look strange in all these fuzzy, low quality pics, yet in person ( and on film ) they work to great effect. People seriously, seriously need to calm down some.

Almost forgot to say that I'm visiting the set again tonight. This is likely serve as my last visit. I have a great idea for really helping everyone feel like they are in on the action. I'll get as much video, pics, and inside info as I can to make my next report the greatest of all. :cwink:

Please do and shut everyone up about this Joker debate (including myself).

In a world where blurry, pixelated Joker spy-pics reign supreme...

...and angry fans yell accusations of "Panda" and "Teh Crow..."

...One Man...

Yeah, I´m kinda used to it now... There often is some overreaction to initial images, when the first picture was shown, people thought the scars made him too gruesome, but the new pics show they´re not quite as pronounced as the pic suggested.

Making the eyes more pronounced with a dark surrounding is one of the most effective resources used in horror and suspense movies. it gives them a freaky almost supernatural quality and emphasize the intensity of the character´s insanity and darkness, "window to the soul" and all that.

based on their track record, I wouldn't be surprised if noirman and company are the first to see bale up close in the new suit

and they'll see who AMH is playing, and what the final scene of the movie is, and what happens to Rachel Dawes!

I seriously would not be surprised.

This isn't a horror movie. All I'm saying is that this look to his eyes is more pronounced than in other incarnations of the Joker, in a neutral, calm manner, and I'm not getting excited over it.

Closer, yes. His suit was dirty from what looked like a scuffle he must have had, if it was clean it'd look close to this. LOL at the haircut though, you soooo missed the mark. :woot:

LOL, I know.

What I *wanted* to get was a picture of Obi-Wan's hair from AOTC after the fight in the rain with Jango - his hair is about the right length, and with it being wet it was slicked back with a rough part in the center, and that seems closer to what you described, and what the pictures show.

But I couldn't find a decent hi-res image of that. :(

wait... why will it be your last visit?

are they on to you? :ninja:
