The Dark Knight Exclusive TDK Set Report #3 8/13

Great job, Typeorocks! Thanks!

Now,about the make up: the black circles around his eyes make him look a lot like a skull. A smiling one. Cool!:woot:

So I'm under the impression that once this vid gets online, we'll get a crystal clear version of this particular shot, right?

yup. im guessing thats what was on his friends cam corder screen and he's just taken a picture of it.

hopefully he uploads it to a site like zshare.net, and not youtube, so we can see the best possible quality. On zshare.net you can upload the .avi,.mpeg2, or just .zip file to be safe, and you can add a file thats up to 100mb!

awesome work dude. Trust me, these are waaaay more revealing than the video we have. Great scooping, I hope everyone is happy now.

p.s. Why the hell aren't they covering his face like they did Eckhart......curious

:wow: Hell yes! Attaboy Typorocks! Great job!

Probably because they will be showing the Joker before the movie comes out, possibly even with the teaser. He is in way too much of the movie, and they know that no matter how secret they are, they can't hide him forever.

Two-face on teh other hand will most likely only be in a handful of shoots so it will be much easier to hide him.

They may not be able to hide him forever, but they've done an excellent job of it so far though. Good pics! I like the fact that this is almost becoming a bigfoot hunt! Everyone knows there is a Joker, but all we have is blurry photos and encounters. lol. Excellent stuff! He does indeed look creepy.

good job dude. I hope the Joker make up doesn't come out looking like some thing from The Crow films.

Hey guys, long time reader and first time poster....had to post this cause I've been following this and Noirmans thread and seems like we have an answer to one the questions being asked..... In typomans pics we can see Mister J's hands clearly enough and they are in fact skin coloured..... No whiteness or gloves to be seen at all :(
Do we now take this to mean that the Joker does indeed apply his own white face paint? Not bleached at all? :(

I'm loving the direction taken with the character so far (the viral campaign, Slaughter, the dialogue in the sides) and I am a big fan of everything Nolans done, he seems to "get" the Joker perfectly but I am seriously not a fan of Joker only being a nut with scars.... You do that your taking away one of the huge aspects of him, the fact that his skin bleaching and chemical bath drove him nuts in the first place. And before you jump all over my arse yeah I know they aren't doing an origin (well we think not) but I would still love to see him in Perma-Clown mode and have it be a mystery for the whole movie, maybe even have a scene with Bats trying to figure it out and coming up blank?

Anyways... thoughts? Disagreements?

Welcome aboard!

I think he'll be wearing gloves for the majority of the scenes. As far as the other stuff, I don't know. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Maybe it's just because he will be wearing gloves in that scene and the pic wasn't taken of Ledger during filming. Hopefully.

Hey irishbat, most of us are worried that he will not be perma-clown. ME ESPECIALLY!!...the perma-clown Joker will make or break the movie for me...because I am just stubborn and want it that way lol. But anyways, if this is the picture you are talking about, than there are multiple possibilites to keep our hopes up.

1) Those gloves could be a light purplish/pink which come across skintone in that picture.

2) They could be orange.

3) Maybe they weren't even filming yet, and he wasn't fully in costume...(maybe Heath was walking around saying, "Where the hell are my damn gloves!!")

So until we find out for sure, hang in there like the rest of us.:yay:

is Buster wearing the batsuit under that robe?

Easily, just as he was in The Dark Knight Returns. The Joker does not have to have the lipstick and green hair perfectly. All he needs, is to be perma-WHITE...than he can apply the lipstick himself...and even dye the hair, but that doesn't even have to be done, because if you can have white bleached skin, than it is possible that your hair roots could be damaged, and your hair could grow in multiple messed up colours...kind like what they have explained so far. They said his hair is going to be brown with green/yellow highlights mixed in everywhere. So it is possible to do, just like it is possible to say a man dresses like a Bat.

Bleached skin from a chemical bath.
lol thanks, exactly. It doesn't mean he has to be a CLOWN...just bleached skin.

PS: I love your sig "Transformers is what Superman Returns should have been." :) good call...

He must not know how The Joker came to be

We don't have to know...but he can still be perma-white.

Maybe they could make mention of it in the movie...Batman could be confused and talk to Alfred.

"it's as if he was born that way, or tatooed. I don't get it Alfred, his face...it's a clown"

something cool like that, that explores different origins, but still keeps it a mystery...and gives us PERMA WHITE:)

I'm sure he'll be perma-white and permanent green hair. Just like a lot of other people have said, he'll probably apply the lipstick to mimick a clown as well as cover up the scars.

Even WB, DC, and Nolan know not to mess with this character THAT much. He's probably wearing gloves for filming and since he's wearing gloves, he doesn't need his hands covered with white make-up.

Hey all, thanks for the welcomes! :)

I'm in the camp that perma-clown is a must have and believe it or not DK7 when those first rumors surfaced that J was going to be some kinda crazed serial killer dressed in rags I firmly believed that the only realistic way he could have white skin was to get his entire body tattooed with white ink! Then getting the hair dyed, the lips tattooed even.... That would be cool even if Nolan didn't think the chemical bath was a believable situation.

The more I muse on it though the more it seems as if it'll be face paint.

Take Ra's as an example; in comics centuries old guy, kept alive through immersion in magical pits of liquid...... in the movie, ninja master with (as far we know) normal human lifespan..... but they did kept inline with his characters portrayal, well kinda.

So for TDK, we have the Joker; in the comics, crazed bleached white insane murderer/thief/whatever.... in the movie? Crazed, painted, insane bank robber? :( I dunno .

Oh yeah! Thank you for your hard work! Now just upload the pictures your friend took. Thanks!
