Ezra Miller IS the Flash

Yeah blue contacts almost always look to fakey to me. Hire an actor with blue eyes if you want an actor with blue eyes.

I know you're talking about eye color -- not hair, but that's actually one of the reasons I suggested they go with a blond Green Lantern as an alternative to changing Mamoa and Miller's physical appearance with dye or make up. Let's face it: even with lighter hair, they don't look much like their comic book counterparts. So, it's no big deal (in my eyes anyway) if they take it a step further by giving us a blond Lantern. It's not like light brown (Hal's natural color) and blond are worlds apart anyway.

AstroZomb's

That is looking pretty awesome to me.

I wouldn't cry (eventhough I would perfer more variety) about these guys keeping their hair color and I would have no issue with GL having blond hair as I'm not a huge fan of Hal Jordan anyway. Hopefully DC can make me a fan soon enough.

a blonde Aquaman would make Momoa look very exotic and interesting, that'd look awesome, a brown haired Barry works more than a dark haired Aquaman imo, Flash just needs to keep his damn cowl on

I hear you. I'm not a huge fan of Green Lantern as well, but I'm looking forward to whatever it is they have in store for the character.

I think if we get a blond GL and an Aquaman with light brown hair (as opposed to the dark brown/near black hair the other cast members possess), that should suffice. I don't see a real need to even things out by having Miller go blond as well.

I would really want to see him transformed for the roll. Cause still he has long way to go

Am I the only person that remembers the Alba/Storm terribleness? Sometimes it's best to leave well enough alone with eye color and hair.

Green Lantern actor's original eye color does not matter, after he transforms into a GL, his eye color changes into glowing Green.

The manip reminds me of this :D

That's basically what I was going for.
Just grabbed the first photo I found of disheveled looking blonde hair.

I don't really find those manips very appealing. In those, Miller looks like belongs in a boy band. He looks more CW than the CW's actual Flash, Grant Gustin. Gustin looks pretty good as a young Flash but I guess that face Miller is making in the photo used for the manip is not helping. And in the second version of the manip posted he looks like is baked in makeup.

****ing ouch :funny:

It was a photo from what I can only assume was a photo shoot where Miller was a model? It's also safe to assume that bearing that in mind will lead to the inevitable conclusion that he doesn't walk around making that face in general or in movie roles.

The choice seems really Teenage angst Twilightish but meh it's DC I'll give a damn when they can make something decent other than Batman reboots.

He looks like the kid from Deadliest Catch show?

I'll take it that you're not a fan of Superman Returns, Watchmen, Man of Steel and Green lantern.

That means, Bryan Singer, Zack Snyder and Martin Campbell all failed to make a decent movie. :o

Well MoS I'll give you that one the production on that was real nice and great acting as well. Watchmen was ok, I enjoyed it. Superman Returns was hideous as well as Green Lantern.

Singer, Synder, and Campbell can make good movies but I think the vision behind DC creative dept is weak and scattered at best. They seem to have no clear vision on where their going or how to get there.

Bryan Singer does not make good movies. he had one good film in the Usual Suspects and the rest of his stuff has been soso to decent to entertaining at the most. X1 was fine but it wasn't a good Xmenfilm and X2 was better but still the same as it wasn't a good Xmen film. DOFP was his best Xmen film but again it wa**** a good Xmen film. That Jack the giant movie was mediocre and boring and I've seen a few others of his films and they weren't much to sneeze at. Superman Returns was awful but it was beautifully shot though. Singers best and greatest is still Usual Suspects to this day.

Singer's X-Men: DoFP is an excellent X-Men film; however, it's mostly the brainchild of Simon Kinberg, Mathew Vaughn and Jane Goldman. Even the lauded Quicksilver scene featuring Time in a Bottle was shot by (second unit director) Brian Smrz -- not Singer.

Anyway, this is the Ezra Miller is Flash thread.

So do you guys think they will let Miller keep his black hair or will they dye it a lighter brown or even blonde? A nice well kept black hair will work fine I think. It would be different but I think it would be interesting to say the least.

light brown or dirty blonde.

The man has more than four years to train for the role.
If he stars in JL (2017) he has 2-2 and a half years depending when they need him.

Other topic

To match Ezra, how about Woodley as Iris? :hmm

Interesting she's a nice actress.

And you MUST know the difference between albas light brown skin and Miller's white skin, so your comparisson is kinda off.

Sony's loss has to be our gain! :D

I'm a little disappointed with this casting. I think Ezra is a good young actor, but I would have preferred someone like Garrett Hedlund as The Flash.

Hedlund would have been ideal IMO.

After Hedlunds performance in Tron: Legacy I don't want to ever see him do another big visual effects movie.

Hedlund will never have the charisma to pull off Barry Allen. He'd be passable but nothing that will have anybody remembering his role. He did well in On The Road but he doesn't have the wit or humour associated with Flash, and when he tries to do it it comes off as forced. He'd be a bad pick for the DC Film setup.

People can say what they want about Miller's casting, but the inescapable fact is that he has acting talent that surpasses the majority, if not all, of the fan casting suggestions.

I wouldn't go that far about Millers acting and I wouldn't go to that extreme about Hedlund. But hey...I'm rooting for Miller.

One could argue that the fact that he taps into the speed force, it isn't necessary for him to have track star muscles. As long as he is not fat it should be okay.

Everyone seems to forget that his body works just like his speed, SUPER FAST. He heals incredibly fast because his muscle tissue is constantly being regenerated (this is the definition of hypertrophy people), the same reason given for Wolverine's musculature. So in theory they should be equally big right? No, because along with his super body comes a super metabolism, which would make it nearly impossible to put on much size/mass. So staying true to the character, he should be muscular but very lean, almost as if he were starving since most of the time he probably is.
