I've been on this shift since 2001 CC. It's just my regular shift. It's also NYC so the pay is better than in the South I am guessing, along with Health Care, holiday tips ect. I do get overtime for, well... overtime. Holiday pay for certain ones.

it's still considered 3rd shift though right?

any hours i work between 6pm-6am, i get an additional 10% of my hourly on top. and since more than half of my shift falls after 6pm, my entire shift gets the bonus, so all my hours count as night-time. If I were to work 3rd shift, I'd get somewhere between 15-20% more an hour.
when i work sundays, i get 15% an hour, on top of my night time shift.

It's the same where I work. I get 20 extra cents for the 3-11, third shift gets an extra 40 cents and hour.
