Between this, Last Guardian and Metal Gear Solid, this really is the year for dogs.

But with the potential for PC mods could it be changed?

PC mods on consoles are the greatest thing. So much potential. :D

I'd like to at least try making Megaton.

I doubt it has the kind of flexibility. Would be nice though.

Well, I didn't know you were referring to mods. I thought you were talking about the in-game construction thing.

Yes, obviously with mods you can do whatever.

I gotta say, I'm really excited for mods on Xbox One. I mean, I'm excited overall for the game for sure. But, the announcment for mods is probably the thing that's on top of my list, purely because of potential. I'm not a PC gamer, never could afford to be one or the know how these days with how PC gaming seems to constantly be a moving target. But, mods have always been the thing that I've envied more than anything about PC gaming, even moreso than the graphical capabilities that can always be trumped by PC's. I pre-ordered on the PS4, but I'll be changing it to Xbox One just because I want to see how the mods shake out on the Xbox One. And, I think it could wind up being a failed experiment if they put too much red tape in the process of getting it from PC to console...but after reading Todd Howard's interview on Gamespot about it, it sounds like they're going to be pretty liberal with the content, aside from nudity, sex, and using assets from other games.

I mean, if that's the criteria then it should really be incredible. I'm excited by the possibilities...and man, if this cracks the door open for other games doing the same, then hallelujah.

If Fallout 4 can work PC mods then I don't see why it couldn't be a standard on most games.

I just really really really want PC mods on PS4 as well. I think I'll cry if I can't get them on it. :(

Edit: They're going to have radiation storms with irradiated lightning bolts! Neat! And to think I was happy with a bit of rain in the Honest Hearts DLC.

I read somewhere that there's going to be a full weather system, which is honestly one of the details I'm most excited about. It makes things so much more atmospheric.

I also heard (I'm full of reliable sources today!) that the mod business will be coming to PS4 at a later date.

I doubt I build much of anything. I'm not a mine-crafty person. The PC mod I'd be most excited about is texture packs. Some of the stuff from Skyrim was insane awesome.

Honestly as long as they can implement the PC mod system fairly soon (inside six months after launch or so) I'm fine with waiting a bit. It'll take me that long to explore the world.

I'm going to make an insane home too. I'll have backup generators for the backup generators to the backups of my main generators just in case. Mini nuke launchers aimed at the far range of the property, a minefield, then the automated turrets for the minefield. I tried to make something similar in Minecraft but I could never get the TNT cannons to work right.

I'll also have a huge neon sign that says "BRING IT ON" with a big neon hand flipping the bird.

Yeah, my minecraft houses were a tad insane.

the Vault-Tec guy was played by The same person played Benjamin Franklin in AC3 I noticed when he said of course of course

I'm interested in how modding will be on console. I've done plenty of modding on PC and have found many times it can make games unstable in my experience....

I imagine that there will be some sort of command to turn them off or a way to reset the whole thing to 'vanilla' if they break the game. Besides, even if you have a game that crashes every now and then wouldn't it be worth it to have a rocket powered motor cycle that let you fly all over the map? :o

My feeling of it was that mods are going to be available in the sense that you can download them and use them -not create them. In my understanding of it, mods would still need to be created on PC, but console users would now have access to them.

If Fallout 4 is anything like 3 and NV it's going to crash every now and then even without mods lol

I love these games to death but I have to save every 10 minutes.... just in case

Like all RPGs I play I have a revolving three saves I use. I try and space the out two or three hours apart so that if I do get crazy messed up I can lose a few hours but not everything. It's helped me so much over the years.

But yeah, I expect to have a few hundred crashes a week until at least the first stability patch shows up. On the plus side we'll be able to download the 'better' patches that are unauthorized but fix lots of stuff the official ones don't.

I'm most looking forward to the voice acting on the character and building myself my own little home.

I cannot wait a full ten minutes, no way. Especially early on, I save obsessively. Every minor event gets a save, or even if I walk a certain distance without anything happening.
