The prewar food only appears in the new games, yes there are crazy aspects of fallout, but the original games had an internal logic to the lore and setting. Now rumor has it that FO3 was originally supposed to take place 50 years after the bombs fell, but was changed midway through development which would explain a lot about that game.

An introduction to S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats and Perks.

Bethesda Softworks has released a short new video of Fallout 4 introducing the game’s character system.

In Fallout 4, you’ll spend a lot of time looking at your stats and items via your PipBoy. Players have seven S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats (Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Lucky) that define who your character is, as well as Perks.

Perks are skills and abilities you choose when you level up. There’s a new Perks chart that shows all the Perks you can select, as well as the ones you have, that’s organized by the seven S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats. There is a Perk for each S.P.E.C.I.A.L. and each rank of that S.P.E.C.I.A.L. from one to 10. If you have the value, you can choose it.

For example, if you leave the Vault with a 10 Charisma, you can pick the “Intimidation” perk that lets you manipulate and control other people. There are 70 base Perks with multiple ranks that do new things, yielding 275 that you can choose from.

Fallout 4 is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 10.

Wish I bought this instead of Arkham Knight this year.

I'm talking about wasted money. Bought the game and Season Pass, got half-broken game only. Even though it's already late September. I'm pretty sure we won't have what was promised even when Fallout 4 comes out, hence I wish I spent it on Fallout instead.

what I don't like about Arkham Knight is that the season pass is $40.

so, add that to the $60 base game, and you are looking at $100 to get the "complete" game.

that's why I'm waiting for the inevitable GOTY edition probably next year to get everything for around $50-$60.

unless there's some massive sale for the base game this holiday that brings it down to $30.

I'm also hoping the 1st 3 Arkham games either get remastered or made BC on the X1 so I can play through them before Knight.

speaking of season passes, have they said if Fallout 4 will have any season pass?

Arkham Knight can be had for a lot less than 60 bucks now, and the season pass has been on sale for like 30. And also the season pass is totally optional, you aren't required to buy it, and you can just pick up the extra content separately if you want.

I've seen AK on sale a few times, but not low enough for me to get it.

There are plenty of listings on eBay where it is 30 bucks, with free shipping. :)

Well, I paid $100 and didn't get ****. Nor Season Pass content, nor properly working game... I had to refund it, but the hype was strong.

speaking of that, I just found out that since tomorrow ( 9/26 ) is Batman Day, Gamestop will have Arkham Knight on sale for $40.

I still have some credit there, so I could bring it down to like $20.

Yeah.. My GOTY will be between this, Halo 5 and Taken King. MGSV would be a contender but I feel it fell apart in the later levels.

Yup, 30 bones

ah, thanks.

oh well. :csad:

but $30 isn't too bad. but if the DLC content looks good, and the game itself is as good as I'm hoping it will be, I won't mind paying for the season pass down the road.

Some games I can wait for the inevitable GOTY edition.

But not this one.......lol.

Fairly sure all the other games had a 30 dollar season pass. I think you save 10 bucks in the end.

Yeah, probably doesn't include the 30 gig day one patch.

[blackout]And it'll still be broken as hell somehow[/blackout]
