Fallout 4

The thing that I feel is going to hurt Fallout is the massive amount of hype. It's almost expected to be so good that I don't think any game can live up to that kind of hype. Like I saw a video that phrased it as, Gamers not being happy with Fallout being a GREAT game when its expected to be PERFECT.

I dont think thats going to hurt it at all. Fallout 4 will be unphased. I feel like even if some annoying bugs and glitches are found at launch, it overall wont matter. I wouldnt be surprised if it has the best launch month since GTA V dropped

It'll be interesting but I kinda feel that Fallout 4 will do better. Battlefront has a big brand attached to it but I think Fallout 4's gameplay has more general appeal than just another shooter. We'll see what December says. Its definitely a good time to be a gamer though. The COD should be interesting as well bc it feels like its been a long time since it launched right next to another real contender and two at that. And no, despite its push, I dont really think Battlefield was major competition

Too many shooters. I haven't bought Halo yet and I am skipping COD because of Battlefront. I still can't believe that next Friday that Fallout, Tomb Raider and Starcraft all come out.It is insane.

I know you like to follow the line in your signature pretty closely, and again I'm not saying Witcher 3 isn't a good game -heck, I haven't played it, maybe it will be better than Fallout 4- but out and out saying it's going to be the best RPG for everyone is...wishful thinking at best and straight up wrong at worst. Others are going to have different opinions. You love the Witcher 3 and that's awesome, but in reality some people are going to like Fallout 4 more...and some are going to like an entirely different RPG more than either game.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, this would be one of those 0.2% times t:

If all you play is triple A console games, I can see the argument for the Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 being the best RPGs of the year, but if you go outside that box, you'll find games like Divinityriginal Sin Enhanced Edition and Pillars of Eternity. Pillars is my personal pick for RPG of the year.

Exactly. There's a ton of RPGs coming out every year, so it's almost impossible to definitively say one or the other is the best beyond personal opinion.

I've decided to hold off on Rise of Tomb Raider and wait till next year for the PS4 version.

so it's safe to say that Fallout 4 WILL be my GOTY.

Reviews are good, but I hope they make a new engine after this. Looks so bad and apparently it is as creaky as you would expect.

Also, looking for some good reviews? Imo check out VideoGamerTv on youtube. Their Fallout 4 and Tomb Raider reviews are rather good imo.
