Fallout 4

But review wise MGSV has the most critical acclaims and perfect scores.

In fact i was kinda hoping that Fallout 4 would get perfect 10's aswell (tho im still getting this game no matter what)
MGSV is great, but if it wins GOTY from places, I am calling bull. It would be a Kojima farewell thing. The game is not complete, lacks story and has a built in element that all but forces micro transactions on you.

My lone issue with Fallout(and Elder Scrolls for that matter) is the melee combat. Iv always wanted to create an Eli(from The Book of Eli) type character in these games but the combat just doesn't suit going with a character like that. I long for the day of a Fallout with Witcher-esq sword/knife combat.
I don't really like the shooting. It is way too inferior to legit shooters. I also am not the biggest fan of the engine, which leads to characters that can't emote and sort of just stand there looking "blah" while you speak to them.

That seems to be a problem in quite a few RPGs. It was that way in Mass Effect (for the most part), and in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

No it doesnt. I played the game over 200 hours and NEVER felt the need to purchase anything additional. The microtransactions is HIGHLY exxagerated and the MP coins introduced are easily ignored and dont take away from the game experience if you do so

I agree,I have never felt compelled to spend any extra money on the game. And I never felt like the game was shoving it down my throat.

I haven't spent any money either. But I also wasn't able to build my base up enough naturally. There is a limit to what you can do with one base and thus what you can create. My second free base wasn't even enough, and I didn't want to even use that because I didn't want to play online. But the game forced me to, to continue the story. Then I started losing all my stuff. At that point, I just gave up. Got through the end of the first part, and just stopped paying.

Nice video of Tim Cain talking about the development and creation of the original Fallout.

Not looking forward to fighting my girlfriend for my PS4. She's a huge Fallout fan and I'm a huge Star Wars fan. Battlefront and Fallout 4 launching this close together means my little PS4 is gonna be working overtime. Glad to hear there letting people pick the game up at 10pm. Hope the install won't take long.

PS4's are gonna be 299 on BF. Surprise her. :p

It looks like the shooting has been addressed, going by the reviews. I agree on the engine, im a bit bummed they didnt go with a new one, BUT, what we are getting still looks great. Maybe they'll use a new engine for the next Elder Scrolls game. Really raise the bar.

Ok good, no missing patch then.

Yea after Bethesda warned that X1 users might have the wrong install, I deleted the game and reinstalled it, even though my console is always in the Instant On state. Same file size.

If you had downloaded the game before like last week and didnt have your console in Instant On, you prob just had a place holder file, otherwise you're pretty much golden.

Great Ceasers Ghost!

I have heard it is better, as they hired some outside consultants. I would love it to be good.

i heard the framerate drops to 0 in this game, is this true?

Digital Foundry said that the X1 version did that a few times. While both the PS4 and X1 suffered from this at times. It seems it can get worse on the X1. However I think they have a day one patch. So hopefully it addresses some of those issues.

I'm watching some live stream gameplay right now. Can't wait to play tomorrow.
