Can't believe this is going to be out in just a few weeks!

^ me neither!!

perhaps that's one benefit of having a short(er) window between announcement and release. time seems to go by quicker.....lol.

if this had been announced in June 2014, the wait would have been more unbearable........

Hell yea. Another reason why Bethesda is awesome. I f'ing hate how companies like Rockstar handle marketing. With announcements happening sometimes 2 full years before the release date. Hopefully more companies will follow Bethesdas lead.

Fallout 4's final S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video is all about Luck

It's kind of crazy that Fallout 4 is actually coming out in a few weeks. Finally I can stop periodically tweeting "Fallout 4 pls" at Bethesda's...

You guys are behind when it comes to news about FO4 LOL

For my part, that's completely intentional. Like with movies I want to see or TV shows I want to watch, I put a lot of effort into avoiding the majority of news for video games I want to play. Fallout can keep it's secrets, it's a far richer experience for me to learn anything while playing than weeks or months beforehand.

That said, I have a good friend who insists on digging up every detail he can for movies he's excited about. He's told me time and again that it makes the movie going experience more exciting for him. To each their own!

Im the same way, at least when its with a series im confident in. Games like Fallout, theres no need for me to look up anything on it. Its a Bethesda game so its going to be stellar and its a series im familiar with. Only thing left to do is give them my money, which iv actually already done as the game has been installed on my console for like a month.

Yeah I've never looked up anything on Bethesda games.. Or used any kind of faq... I like to stumble onto things myself...

I've got a good friend who's like that. He knows literally everything there is to know about every movie before he sees it in theaters, and he' soooo excited and wants to talk about it all. I've had to put an embargo on Star Wars talk with him, haha.

Did you fellas see the final S.P.E.C.I.A.L video? This one was 'Luck', I'm kind of sad they're over -it was such a neat series!

One thing that stood out to me in the video was the giant bug. As far as I can tell every creature we've seen has shown up in Fallout before, but I don't recall seeing a bug *that* big? I'm speculating it might be some new creature, or perhaps a Queen Radroach. I can't wait to find out in a few short weeks! (I am also equally apprehensive because I fear death)

Haha i totally get that.

Thing is, this is like Jet addiction for me. Finding every bits of info about FO4:cwink:

I find it disturbing that the standard seems to be 30fps lately with newer games. Fallout 4 included. I'm a PC gamer but still wish the fps could be 60 across all platforms. 30 is just trash.

I really hope develops can get better with the current gen hardware and really push it to 60fps.

I play on PC. I capped my FO3 at 30 FPS, because it's more stable that way.
I got tons of mods installed. Now i got less crash.
And to be honest, it never really bothered me playing at 30 FPS

Eh, I just can't play 30fps. It looks so bad after playing at 60+ for so long. IT's got a sort of...I don't know. Muddy look I guess.

I play Skyrim at 60 FPS.
Maybe it's just me, but it was never really noticeable for me.
The only time i noticed that i wasn't playing a game at 60 FPS was when i installed ENB for Skyrim. It dropped to 40. And it was noticeable.
But with Fallout, not so much for some reason.

I think it's partly because previous Fallout's graphics weren't that crisp to begin with. But with Fallout 4 having more detailed graphics, movement is going to be very noticeable with lower fps. It's like comparing blu-ray to dvd. That big of a difference.

I've always found a noticeable difference between 30 and 60, but the difference itself is way overblown among enthusiasts. 30 is a perfectly playable experience. I could see people having trouble who maybe only game on the most top of the line rigs and never go below the most intense settings, but I don't know why those people would bother with home consoles to begin with, though.

THis could be the reason yeah.

Yeah..that's how it is for me basically. As long as it's playable, i'm fine with it

I feel 60 is better in a fast paced online setting... A solid 30 in a vast open world will be MORE than fine.

I have no idea what Gameworks is but I plan on getting this game for PC so yay for me I guess

Is anyone playing Fallout 3 or New Vegas in preparation?

I went back to Fallout 3 and wasn't sure it would fly, but I've been having a blast the past few days. It'll be interesting to feel the difference between 3 and 4 in a couple of weeks!

I replayed Fallout and Fallout 2. I may squeeze in New Vegas.
