I personally liked that goofy 1950s vibe lol but thats just me.

For us, older fans, it felt like going from Witcher games to Netflix Witcher TV series. Lobotomized take. Or from Star Wars OT to prequels.

I can see that considering how royally pissed off I am about the Witcher show, I wish the old Fallout games had a remake or something so I could truly get a feel for the differences and have a more comprehensive opinion.

I guess, if you can't play F1-2, your only chance is a gritty adaptation by J. Nolan. Unless Todd Howard will be forcing more nuke-themed ****...

In other words, Fallout TV series needs to feel like a mix of Dr. Strangelove, Mad Max 2, Alien 1979 and 2001: A Space Odyssey.

No, thanks. I like the feel of Bethesda’s games and the goofy, Jetsons-from-hell motif is what sets it apart from a billion other post-apocalyptic settings. I have no interest in a Fallout series that just feels like one more wannabe Max Max story.

Fallout 1-2 was never "one more wannabe". It was it's own thing, even if it took heavy inspiration from Mad Max (among other things). It was a great synthesis of influential sci-fi with it's own spin.

What's wannabe is crappy Bethesda games, who can't come up with something original and keep using and re-using elements from "wannabe Mad Max games". Super mutants, Brotherhood, Pip-Boy etc... While completely bastardizing what Fallout aimed to be by turning everything into idiotic Oblivion mod.

Weird that he’s rumored to ply a ghoul though. I would think he would either be the lead or one of the main villains. I can’t imagine they would hire him to spend the whole show in zombie makeup, but maybe.

I would definitely recommend it. It’s crazy good.
