Fantastic Four On The Radio

A short 13 episode, Fantastic Four series made it to the radio in 1975. I kid you not. It's of course more fun than the movie, but more interestingly, the audio role of Johnny Storm(Human Torch), was none other than this guy...

It is rumored that this is when somebody from Saturday Night Live was first aware of one, Bill Murray.

Episode List:

FF Meet The Mole Man
The Menace Of The Miracle Man
The coming Of The Submariner
FF Meet Doctor Doom
Prisoners Of The Puppetmaster
FF Face The Hulk
The Hate Monger
The Return Of Doom
In The Clutches Of Doom
The Super Skrull
Rama Tut
The Red Ghost
The Submariner Strikes

If it's the radio show from the mid-70's (and I'm unaware of any other) then that's Bill Murray doing the voice of Johnny Storm.

I knew Bill Murray did Johnny's voice, but I didn't know Saturday Night Live discovered him there! The radio show aired in 1975. Murray was 25 years old.

From People Magazine's fact file:

Bill Murray
Birthdate: 9/21/1950
Education: Loyola Academy, Regis College, Second City Workshop in Chicago
Fact: Provided the voice of Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, on Marvel Comics' radio show, The Fantastic Four. This is where he was heard by the producers of Saturday Night Live.

I changed the first post. Look again...you're right. Steven Spielberg did voice work on Cap back then too.

Wow i had no idea there was a FF radio show.
