Yeah at one point they drifted with the safe attached "woo!!!".

That was one of the illest car chase setpieces I've seen in a while when it comes to the mainstream. **** the laws of physics when you can create that kind of awesome. I mean I'm not one to downtalk these type of movies in the first place though.
Yeah at one point I had to do a facepalm and just turn my brain off, of course in real life two souped up cars could never drag off with a heavy @ss bank vault, it's physically impossible.

But it's a good effort that the stuntwork people try to make it believable even if ludicrous.

At least it's more believable than having a car jump off a ramp turning upside down to detach a bomb underneath like in The Transporter 2.

People were literally saying holy **** when we saw Hobbs look at Lettys picture at the end. The only ****ed up thing about Letty being alive is she let Dom suffer all these years without saying anything. Is it safe to say the next one will take place in Berlin ? Han was heading to Berlin at the end & that is where Letty is. I am guessing Letty called Han to meet up with her for a job

vin diesal said the next one would take place on the autobahn

.....What's the Autobahn??,I haven't seen the movie yet But I'm curious about this since I've read about the Autobahn!

Your loss. Best races by far and awesome cars, great car stunts, Sonny Chiba, nice looking chicks, the coolness of Han. The only thing that somewhat brought it down at times was the generic Ski School like plot but the overall package works quite well.

Up to this point it was the only one in the franchise that I actually really liked. Mostly because it actually lived up to the promise of an emphasis on races and not races with cars only driving straightforward either. Which is what I expected from the original in the first place way back then.

I think that's the fundamental difference between us. I'm actually not into racing one bit. It was the story and characters that got me into the series.

...in fact, had I not seen the first movie on basic cable while flipping channels a few years back, I probably wouldn't have given these movies a chance. :o

The Autobahn is a highway in germany that spans 7,580 miles and has no speed limit...rich people take their expensive cars there to play

When did he say that??

In a radio interview on 26 April, 2011 for RPR.1 (Rhineland-Pfalz Radio One), Vin Diesel mentioned that scenes from the sixth movie will take place on the German Autobahn and seventh and final film takes place somewhere else.

Was I the only one annoyed that they skipped at least two races

"We need more cars" & then they go to the racing scene & then bam come home with an extra car. The Papa Smurf thing was funny though

I still don't get how people loved the fact they dumped the racing. That's what the franchise has always involved. I'm assuming those who dislike the racing, hated the previous ones.
I'm not a fan of racing so I'm happy that they mostly dumped that from Fast Five.

Nope, I'm in the same boat as you. I think what makes it worse, is they really made you think you were going to get to see the race between dom and the porsche owner. They talked a big talk, and then bam cut to them owning the car :(

If this holds true, they've got my money.

I liked the addition of Italian sports cars this go round so I want more of that. I also want a lot more American muscle next time too. Definitely take a break from the "ricers" for a bit.

Anyway my rank of the series excluding Fast & Furious since as I stated before I never saw it, would be

Fast Five
The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift
The Fast & The Furious
2 Fast 2 Furious

I don't think anybody ever expected the series to go all the way to a part 5 let alone for that part 5 to be the best but this movie delivered the goods.
I agree I liked the inclusion of Italian cars, and I'm sure with it being in Europe in next film it will include German/Italian cars.

I still don't get how people loved the fact they dumped the racing. That's what the franchise has always involved. I'm assuming those who dislike the racing, hated the previous ones.
I don't think they will exclude the fancy cars and car scenes as its part of the aura of the movies. However; I think they are trying to reinvent the franchise into a 'Heist' franchise kindof like Oceans 11 but with cars or maybe in the lines of the 'Italian Job' as well.
Will the change of plot help the franchise? Maybe, it may prolong the paychecks of some of these guys as I can see them getting 2 more films out of this, but they shouldn't press it more than that.

How I rank them:
The Fast and the Furious
Fast Five
2 Fast 2 Furious
Tokyo Drift
Fast Furious

9/10, I loved it. I didn't mind the lack of street racing since they already had a lot going on with the heist.

Not sure how I feel about Letty being alive though. I don't like the idea of her faking her death to be on her own.

It didn't even hit me till today that this summer is the 10 year anniversary of the first.

Wow, I can't believe its been so fast. I remember going on the early Friday show back then and then me and some friends ended up watching like 10 times through the summer.

You thought 2 Fast 2 Furious was better then Fast & Furious??

Anyway for those people looking forward to Fast & Furious 6 what sort of cars are you wanting to see in it?

Lol sorry got mixed up. I liked fast 4 more than 2 fast 2 furious ( even though Tyresse is hilarious). Tokyo drift is my least fave. I just like it for the races not really a fan of TD story or characters ( not including han).

This movie had some great scenes & lines though. Like when after the cop car race Brian is so excited that he beat Dom & then Han & Rome comes in saying "He let you win" & then Brian immediately made a :( face

for me its
2 Fast
Fast Five
The Fast and the Furious
Fast & Furious
Tokyo Drift

Im simply indifferent to the racing aspect. If it remained a main point in future films, fine.

But what Fast Five has shown is that this series has the potential to be more than about street racing.

You know what's crazy? It made this much money WITHOUT crappy 3-d upcharges. Yeah for non-3D success!

To me, that was the joke. Dom is just so damn good, that it's a forgone conclusion he was going to beat that guy.

We all knew he'd win, he has to, but still it would've been nice to see.QUOTE=samsnee;20217993]To me, that was the joke. Dom is just so damn good, that it's a forgone conclusion he was going to beat that guy.[/QUOTE]
