Fast & Furious 7

I am not hating on them, but in a situation like this, it's best to be respectful to Paul's memory and family. If the movie doesn't work with him then take a lost and can it. If they can make Fast 7 in a tasteful way in light of this event then go for it. But the idea of Fast 8-10 should be canned no matter what.

It by no means disrespectful to Paul's memory. He loved making these movies.

I guess the studio will comment on what will happen with this movie sooner or later if anything changes or happens

I wonder how integral Brian was to the plot.

The hard truth is that Statham's character will probably kill him.

If Hollywood is cold then they'll probably have Lucas Black take over.

Vin probably won't come back.

At first this seemed like a hoax because Fast and Furious 6 is being released on dvd in two weeks but all the sources and photos are confirming that he did die.

This just sucks he died in a car accident after all those Car safety warnings at the beginning of the F&F movies

What's so wrong with them wanting to finish and release the movie? I believe this is his final movie, let people see it.

They will play up the DVD release as Walker's final role, you already know this.

My guess is the writers will turn this into safe driving/risk of driving crazy...They will probably kill him off by driving at crazy speeds and losing control...No reason to have Statham's character kill him off...Its wrong. Just portray the subtle truth into film.

So they just add in a throw away line saying that he died between parts 7 & 8 ?

My guess is they will have Brian and Mia go into hiding with their child. Its the only way around killing Brian off. They can use body doubles and cgi similsr to what Ridley Scott did when Oliver Reed died partway through production of gladiator.

Or just have him and Mia leaving this life behind with a boatload of money and they live happily ever after.

How can the actors even be prepared to continue filming after this?

For it to have basically exploded like that there must surely be something faulty inside that Porsche.

I had just bought my brother-in-law all 6 movies on blu-ray for Christmas a few days ago. Bizarrely, that was the first thing I thought when I heard the news.

I bought my cousin 1-4 a few Christmases ago, then Fast 5 the Christmas it came out and I've bought him Fast 6 for this Christmas as we have always liked the films and been car enthusiasts, it's gonna be strange giving it to him on Christmas Day.

That is a cop out...

Selfishly, people will ask how the character will be written off...I bet they will use this as a opportunity to raise awareness to safe driving and have his character die when he is killed going fast.

Everyone cannot be invincible...

Yes me too or say he wanted out for the sake of his family and the team respect his wishes.

Yeah we need to see it, heath ledger died we still saw that dr pronassas film, Brandon lee died we still got rapid fire it has happened before. If for some reason his character is set to die in a car wreck in the film though it should not be released.

Did they film any scenes with Walker so far?

I doubt the franchise will end that quickly. Let's not forget about Cory Monteith and how the folks working on Glee were able to bounce back after his abrupt death.

I'd say end it with 7 and that's that.

Lucas Black will for sure take over that role...But still Paul Walker is Paul Walker and arguably the biggest or second biggest face to the F&F series

The Crow.

I like the idea of them going into hiding or something like that instead of killing him off.

Will Vin even want to do the movies without Walker?

Honestly Im not sure that he will. Vin is an emotional soft hearted man (not a judgement), and this is gonna destroy him. He might finish this film for Paul but I'll be shocked if Vin sticks around after this film.

Probably the last film for Dom's character anyway...Him and Michelle Rodriguez may move on...However the money for these films is huge. He may find it hard to turn down $20MM to do these films...Still, he may do it for his friend...But its soul crushing the way his friend died...The whole films are like about fast cars

Walker was a passenger in the car when the accident happened. He wasn't driving.

Universal will release the film, there's no denying that factor. If Walker still had scenes to film, they will have to delay the film, do rewrites and finish it, a la The Crow.

We'll need to wait for statements from Vin Diesel's people as well as from the studio themselves. From what I've read in an earlier report, it was said that Diesel and Walker weren't friendly off-camera, so maybe, maybe not then?
