I just made a thread yesterday (well actually early morning today) about trying to get a database going concerning Misc. Comics films not DC or Marvel just to have a good reference. I see this thread just started after that.

The thread I I probably put too much effort into the 2nd post there talking about ways to categorize films that fall under the "Misc. Comics" category before presenting an actual list (I did already have one derived from various sources by release year but just didn't post it as was trying to figure out how to categorize films that weren't strictly Misc. Comics Films).

Anyway, finding favorite Misc. Comics films is sort of redundant when a lot of films people consider a favorite don't really fit under being a comics film to begin with. That's why I was hoping people would engage in a discussion on that.

Atomic Blonde, Men in Black, Sin City, Road to Perdition.

I have yet to watch Atomic Blonde, but I will someday.

Hellboy 1 and 2 immediately spring to mind, the Perlman ones of course.

But yeah The Crow is an all timer, first Sin City was good enjoyed both Kingsman movies. Think Kick-Ass is thoroughly under rated also.

My choices would be similar to my favourite R-rated comic book movies. Does Kick-Ass count thoigh? It's not Marvel universe but it's still published by Marvel. Same goes for Vertigo properties. Well if they do it goes like this:

01. V for Vendetta
02. Hellboy
03. Sin City
04. Dredd
05. Hellboy 2
06. Kick-Ass
07. Road to Perdition
08. Watchmen
09. Kingsman
10. Men in Black

Sin City.
Riki-Oh The Story of Ricky.
The Crow.
Heavy Metal.
Akira
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
300
Men in Black
Hellboy 1 and 2.
Dredd
Kingsman
Tales from the Crypt the movie and Vault of Horror
Cemetery Man
Snowpiercer
Fritz the Cat
Rocketeer.
Persopolis.
The Mask.
Scott Pilgrem
Adventures of TinTin
Fist of the North Star (1986)
Edge of Tomorrow.
Flash Gordon

The Mask Honestly, the effects still hold up pretty well for how old it is, I just recently watched it and still enjoy it quite a lot. I read The Mask volume 1 omnibus, they change the character of Stanley Ipkiss, and it's nowhere near dark or violent as the comic, which I think was a benefit. The absurd/off the wall comedy they nailed though.

Hellboy Ron Pearlman nailed the role. Love the style and effects of the film. I will say I have not read many of the graphic novels, but I did enjoy Hellboy 1 & 2.

Watchmen I guess it's technically a DC film now, but I love this movie. Probably my favorite Zack Snyder film behind Man of Steel.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The very first film that came out I can still enjoy. Every film after that has dropped in quality for me. The reboot version of the film was okay, not sure I even saw the second one.

Ironically the second one was more in line with the cartoon.

If you watch TMNT 1990 and flick through the tmnt comic, panel for panel is lifted off, it's very faithful.

The Shadow...Lamont Cranston...Ying Ko of Lhasa...who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?

I always loved the Rocketeer including James Horner's excellent score.
