Civil War Favorite Ironman Suit so far in the MCU?

I won't comment on my favourite suit, but I just think they got his look right in the earlier Iron Man films. The suit actually looked solid and heavy, like he was indeed in this powerful iron armour.

The Gulmira fight scene in Iron Man is my favourite scene of his. He just screamed Iron Man there.

^Well said.

You could actually feel the weight and power of the armor back then. I feel like they've kinda lost that quality over the years. Kinda like how Spider-Man seemed completely weightless while web-slinging in SM3.

I just watched IM2, and I definitely agree about the armors. In that movie they all look so real. My favorite suit overall is the first War Machine suit. Then I live the Mk 2 and Mk 3 suits. I mean the main ones have all been good, but those are my favorites

I really liked the Mark 2, 3 & 7. The design of the Mark 45 from AOU looks really cool but I think the scooped cutouts on the chest are too busy and something about the metal looks too much like a Coke can.

I love what I see of the Mark 46 in the trailers, it seems to keep the best sleek elements from Mark 45 and eliminate what didn't work, and elevates the design with the mini reactor lights and such. I'll reserve judgement until I see it in all its glory, but it has the potential to rank at the top for me.

Blood armour look in AoU.

But damn some of his suits that he didn't wear in IM3 were awesome.

Tough call. I can't choose one. The Mark III would be my all time favorite, followed by Mark IV (even though I never liked the silver).

Suitcase was pretty bad ass.

This new Bleeding Edge armor is looked pretty sick. It's the best looking one so far visually.

I have to say, I can't think of another super hero who's had all of their costumes or suits have universal praise like Iron Man. lol. Pretty much most of the heroes out there have had at least one complaint, i.e. Bat-nipples, X-Men leather, Cap's Avengers costume, Superman Returns suit, Spider-Man basketball head costume, etc.

Ooh... that's a tough one. There's so many great ones to choose from. I'll have to go with the Mark 46 from Civil War. The Mark 45 from AOU comes close though.

Technically these count as Iron Man armors...

I think the first one was the best one. War Machine should be built like a tank, the more he's slimmed down the less personal character he has.

The Silver Centurian Mark 33 is my favorite. Iron Man 3 paid great homage to classic IM with this suit. At least Tony wore it for a a minute:

And in a a very close 2nd place the Mark 7:

My Top 3 Favorites are Mark III (Iron Man 1), Mark IX (The Avengers), and Mark XLV (Age of Ultron).

And, it took a while, but ... Mark XLII (Iron Man 3) grew on me, and I quite like it now. I also have a soft spot for Mark I, simply because of the emotional weight behind that particular armor.

My least favorite is probably Mark VI (Iron Man 2). I like the circle Arc Reactor better in the movies, what can I say? :p

It is hard for me to pick just one, but I loved the Mark IV "suit case" armor from Iron Man 2, such a cool nod to the comics from the late 70's early 80's where Tony had his armor in a suit case, plus him suiting up was just cool, if I had to pick another have to say the Mark III from the first film, just was cool.

In functionality:
MK 42, the one who controls with a wrist gadget in Avengers, and the handbag one from Iron Man 2 he wore in the F1 ring facing Whiplash Vanko.

In design:
The bag one is my least favorite, I love the rest equally.

This is why I think the Mark 46 is going to be my favorite IM suit of all time. Combines all that I like in previous designs into a perfect looking package.

Silver centurion for sure and also I love the brief case suit. On a side note IM3 wasting so many awesome suits was one of that films crimes. The silver centurion among others deserved to star in at least one movie.

Just think of what kind of awesome suit or suits he'll have in Infinity Wars. Whoa!

After seeing the movie, what did you guys think of the Mk46?

I still think it's the best design yet, but I wish the CGI was better in the movie. It looked amazing in Siberia when he was the only CG character.

This.

Also a big fan of the classic Mark III and the Mark VII (love the backpack). After the Avengers the suits kinda blurred together for me, though I did love the 46's mask retraction.

Mk3 is still my fave

It's dated from a features standpoint but I'm still in love with the aesthetics of it. Classic look but sleek and modern, not overly intricate like the Mk43. I still get the feels when I watch the gantry suit-up scene from the first Iron Man.

My top 5 in this order - Mk3, Mk7, Mk39, Mk33, then Mk43.

Just noticed there's no love for Mk39 Starboost here. I think this looks amazing among the non-classic HPP armors, like a blend between IM and Gundam

I would like the 46 a lot more if they added in more gold or silver to break up all the red in the legs. From the waist up I think it looks brilliant, but the legs ruin it for me.

I like the Mk46 in CW but thought the Mk45 at the end of AoU looked much better on screen. I don't like these all new skin like suits Tony is sporting now. I wish he'd go back to what we saw all the way up to the 1st Avengers in suits that look like man made armor. They looked heavy duty and powerful. Hell, War Machine looked like a flying tank. I'd love to see them go back on the look. Favreau had the best vision for IM's look, imo.

^Agreed on that point. I miss feeling the weight and bulk of the armors.
