Favorite on going game franchises at the moment

I'm including successful new ips that might get a sequel in the future and ips with a rumored upcoming game in the worXs.

My favorite is Assassin's Creed. I still remember that period when I binged play 12 AC games and I like how most games feature a different nation/era in history. My second favorite at the moment is Watch Dogs. Ubisoft games are nothing special when it comes to story of their games but I like the look of their games and the freedom to eXplore. Both Ac and Watch Dogs give me that eXperience.

I would mention GTA if only we got more than 1 new game in the 2010s, but eh I'm impatient waiting for gta 6 now and it would take another ten years from gta 6, after gta 7 is released. And I realized how old looking I am going to be when that time comes. It's just not eXciting when sequels are coming way longer than usual. And Rockstar can't bother to release the older games especially GTA 4 in ps4 disc. So my interest is really waning for that franchise.

As much as I absolutely love GTA, Rockstar really turned me off with how heavily they focused on GTA Online content, to the point of them cancelling the promised single player DLC and now re-releasing the game on it's THIRD console generation just so they can keep the money train chugging along.

I fell out of love with many franchises.

The stuff I still love:

Mortal Kombat. My favorite games are from 90s, but overall enjoyed the second life that the series recevied with MK9. It was a great reboot. And Boon didn't stop there. Cassie Cage is the best thing about nu-MK. My favorites from 90s - Sonya and Johnny - created a perfection. Really glad it became canon after MK '95.

Resident Evil. Huge fan of RE2 (original) and RE4, really like RE1 (original). I'm glad they're trying new things even if it means stepping away from initial designs. RE8 trailer looked intriguing.

Zelda and its not close. 1 there has not been a bad zelda game. Yeah sure some are better then others but even the lesser ones are really good. 2. Good stories, 3 dungeons, 4 great soundtracks.

Ratchet and clank would be my number 2 there are a few of them i dont care for but most of them are great. Just love the goofy weapons and the different planets just so much fun.
