Favorite Restaurants: A Hypester's Guide to Good Eats Out.

I wish I could do that Ace but my family and on both sides of this have a habit of getting bigger. My little brother ways 30 pounds more than me. My dad by a 100

I don't want to get like them. I admire your stance on enjoying yourself thou

Yea I suppose I was a bit over the top.

But I think EVERYONE should be entitled to going all out at least once a week. Have it as a treat or something.

See my view is there is no point eating healthy ALL THE TIME just for the sake of being healthy. If you enjoy it fine. But don't force yourself to never enjoy yourself, because that isn't healthy either, you know?

You are healthiest when you are happy. That's my philosophy.

I'm thankful every day that I have a high metabolism because I love myself some food. I could eat all day. :(

Yea same here. I eat **** loads but I only weigh about 12 stone, which is 170 pounds I think.

Wait till that metabolism of yours slows down lol. I'll be seeing you in the Fitness thread.

hehe it's only a matter of time :D

But as I was saying, everyone should be able to treat themselves every so often though right? Like go all out once a week or something.

I do eat pretty healthily. My favourite food is pasta. But I have a big sweet tooth :D

I get a good mix of everything I'd say. I'm not a picky eater. I like all kind of meats (Beef, Pork, Poultry, Seafood), and I like veggies (beans, peas, corn, asparagus, greens.)

I think my biggest fault is drinking too much Pop.

Yea it's all about having a mix of everything.

To be fair I don't really like fizzy drinks anymore. I used to love em. I do like a nice cold can of Coke or Lilt every now and then though.

I feel bad for everyone saying Cheeburger Cheeburger is bad. Those particular chains must suck.

The one here where I live is great. I'm pretty simple on my burger and normally just get cheddar, bacon, and jalapenos with Tabasco sauce. I much prefer their burgers than the Five Guys we have or Red Robin.

I forgot to add some places where I like to go if I have some cash to drop.

Connor's Steakhouse http://www.thechophouse.com/connors_index.html

The Melting Pot http://www.meltingpot.com/locations.aspx?z=35758&n=310453

Neither place is cheap, but the food is worth it.

Next time I go to NYC, Shake Shack and Bamn are the first things on my to-do list!

They have a Shroom burger, which is a portobello mushroom stuffed with cheese and fried, no meat but damn is it tasty. If I go back home for the holidays I am spending like 2 days just in NYC eating all the awesome food that lives there.

I wanna go to NYC in the next few months and I'm trying to figure out which part to stay in so I can do/eat the most. I wanna make a few trips out of it so I can focus on certain areas. Trip 1 is def the Madison Square area, just for Shake Shack :D

Anybody here from the midwest? I grew up in wisconsin and we had a pizza chain called Rocky Rococo, never seen it here out east or in the west coast.

And Edwardo's pizza. Those are two things I miss about WI.

I don't know who said Cheeburger Cheeburger sucks, but I can't see how you could say that unless you're a vegan or something. Their fries aren't good when the start to get cold, but the burgers are really good and their shakes are fantastic. Recently a Five Guys opened in my area as well. I haven't had a chance to check it out but I hear it's even better.

As for the melting pot, that's a good way to throw away money. You spend three hours eating and walk out hungry. But I do have to admit it's a great situation to sit and talk to someone and get to know them. Just expect to go through a drive-through on the way home.

I cannot deny that Chick-Fil-A is awesome. Best chicken nuggest I've ever had, and their waffle fries are proof of God.

Another good one that falls in the Applebees / Outback / Friday's / Ruby Tuesday's realm is Charlie Brown's Steakhouse. http://www.charliebrowns.com/ I also love Houlihan's.

Speaking of Outback, the Kookaburra Wings are awesome. They also have seriously awesome cheese fries.

I haven't been to In-N-Out Burger, so Wendy's is still the gold standard for me as far as burgers go.

Here's a good seafood place from my hometown: http://marinacafegrand.com/index.asp

As for best steaks, it's extremely pricey, but worth it: http://www.peterluger.com/

I guess it depends on what you get. My wife and I went there with another couple. The two of us got "The Big Night Out" which consisted of a cheese fondue with bread, apples, and vegetables for dipping and then a salad. For the main course we had a plate that had chicken, pork, sirloin, filet mignon, shrimp and lobster tail. Finally for desert we had a chocolate fondue that had marshmallows, rice-krispie treats, bananas, strawberries, brownies and cheesecake all to dip.

Yeah it was expensive but it was so damn good. I also like being able to sit there and really take your time eating. I think we were in the restaurant for close to 2 hours 30 mins.

Wishbone fried chicken in Brixton Market.
