Which is your favourite animated style of Batman?

I'd say probably The Animated Series, although I'm not entirely sure what "Gotham Knights" is.

It's basically what the Animated Series was renamed when they redesigned the characters, Tim Drake became a little sprite-like Robin, Dick became Nightwing, etc.

The Batman Animated Series version of course.

Although as far as design goes, I prefer the Gotham Knights look.

The Batman as far as the overall design/feel goes.

BTAS is 0.9999999999999 close to beating TB for me... and I do love BTAS. Mainly because that is where MOTP was spawned from.

You mean the Batman with the black bat emblem?

Anyone got pics of the Gotham Knights cartoon? It sounds familiar but I can't place it.

BTAS, but The Batman is roughly equivalent.

TAS by far.

I'm amazed at how many people actually like The Batman.

Even design-wise, I can't understand a vote for TB.

Anyway, the show wasn't officially called The Gotham Knights; it was a working title before they called it The New Batman Animated Series.

As for my favorite, my choice is The New Batman Animated Series Batman. Drastically improving over the original run, the TNBAS captured the darker and more morally ambiguous side of the Batman character, yet paradoxically displaying his profound sense of compassion and commitment to Gotham and to the memory of his parents. This was truly a one of a kind cartoon hero; heroes can brood, but is rare that they are obsessive, emotionally repressed, and a bit over the edge. And I just love his gritty look, especially in some of the episodes. The new design gives the impression of a pillar of darkness.

But I should also point out that I consider the JL/JLU Batman and BB Bruce Wayne/Batman to be part of the TNBAS Batman because it continues and develops the same brilliant characterization.

So, anyone reading this might be thinking where my praise is of the BTAS Batman. The truth is, I don't have any praise for it. It was a great series, but Batman himself was very bland at times and fell a little flat overall. The series did more for the villains than it did for Batman. But I can definitely understand why many people like the original.

I agree. As great as BTAS was, TNBAS improved on it.

Batman from The Animated Series, so awesome it's almost painful to watch...but it isn't because it's awesome. :batman:

Animated Series by far.
I love the designs of all the characters, especially Batman (duh), Joker, Mr Freeze (designed by Mingola if I'm not mistaking) and so forth. Hell, they even made Clayface an awesome villain.

BTAS and TNBA are the best cartoons based on a comic character. ever. i understand why some people may like the batman, but i can't stand it. it's like one giant toy commercial to the point where all his equipment looks like he bought it at toys r us. and the villain designs leave much to be desidred.

BTAS, my love for bats came into being because of this show and till this day it still kicks ass on all the other cartoons out there :batman:
