Talk about the best day so far in your life, or in the most memorable, or a great day that you'd like to share.

I'll save my best for later, but I'll talk about a memorable day for now to kick off the thread.

My friends and I had just saw Jackass 2 and were in highschool back then, so after seeing the movie we decided to be stupid. And my friends started kicking each other in the chest.
There was a bunch of people in front of the theatre (which is usual here), and a bunch of [ghetto] kids came over and one of them said "I'll give you five dollars if you let me kick you in the chest" to my one friends Mike.

So obviously my friend was like "No, ten." And the guy gives him the cash and kicks him. This was highly stupid, but we all started selling our chests for cash.

I left with 30 dollars, and I think Mike had like 50 by the time our ride showed up.

lol For some reason it didn't really hurt...it was just dumb. But yeah, memorable...

My favorite Day Ever?

November 23, 1998

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was Released.

The day my daughter was born.

Either that or the day The Dark Knight came out.

TDK, what did you do that day? You have to describe it bro...

Oh... I watched the film 4 times with a bunch of good geeky friends. Really it pales in comparison with the birth of a kid. But TDK has 100% more fighting and 100% more Joker.

Yeah. Did anyone wear costumes or anything? *Is trying to get like kind of a retelling type thing here*

A memorable day for me was when I was in high school and working at a movie theater as my part time job. Actually, I think it was the summer after my senior year (I just graduated from high school and was going to go to college). It was June and Spider-Man 2 was coming out in theaters. It was a crazy day and really busy but I was working as an usher, cleaning up in the theaters, etc... I worked with a bunch of friends and it was really fun. Then after we closed for the night, we had an employee only screening for Spider-Man 2 around 1 am (the day before it was officially released to the public). I loved that day.

That sounds awesome, did you guys get free food because you worked there?

That's extremely difficult to choose.

or a great day that you'd like to share.

One time I was buying some candy from the vending machine and two candies fell instead of just one. Awesome. :word:

With an avatar like that, candy is all you've got?

yeah, we get free popcorn and soda. We have to pay for the candy though because we taken inventory for them.

can't remember day but it was end of exams, i have just finished watching spidey at the cinema for the first time and we all went out for one last hurrah.

saying that, the end of 2005 was good, i had accomplished everything i had wanted to do in 2005 and i looked back at it all with awe. Good times, definitely best year of my life.

Well, one I can think of is more of a bad day, but it's memorable. July 4 last year, had an old family friends wedding to go to and was training for the Chicago marathon, knowing I wouldn't be up to running the next day decided to get my weekly long run in before having to get ready for the wedding. Halfway through the run, moved to the grass to avoid a couple pedestrians and felt something hit my ankle, first thought was it was a stick or something, then at my next stride, massive pain shot through my leg. Stopped running and looked, had a huge cut just above my shoe, looked further back to see what caused it and there was a broken Rumpleminz bottle laying in the middle of the grass. Instantly knew I'd need stitches started to try to find a cab or bus to get home since I was 4 and 1/2 miles away, a couple actually saw what happened and gave me a ride to my apartment.

Get into the apartment find my medical insurance card, clean off the wound a little, put a bandage on it, then go to the hospital, which was luckily just a block away. Sat in a bed at the emergency room for awhile, got my foot x-rayed to make sure there weren't any glass shards still in it, then waiting for the doctor to examine the wound to see if any muslces or tendons were damaged. Next to me there's a kid who seems to have either had too many drugs or alcohol, cops are looking after him. Doc finally looks at my leg and finds my achilles tendon was partially severed, tells me I'll need surgery, sets all that up for me and is about put some stitches in the cut and a splint on my leg since I can't get surgery till Tuesday, when the kid guarded by the cops runs out of the hospital. Which totally distracts the doc for something like an hour while I'm just laying on my stomach, finally doc comes back, stitches me put, puts the splint on, then had to give blood for testing, get an IV and tentnus shot in case of infection for the bottle. Almost done just need to piss in a cup for that test, when the cops bring in a homeless drunk, homeless drunk went into the bathroom before me, he's in there for 30 minutes, cops finally force the door open, he's butt naked and has pissed all over the bathroom. Nurses take me to another bathroom, I take a piss in a cup and am free to go, 5 hours after arriving. Spent 4th of July weekend in my apartment trying to get used to crutches.

Oh, also the entire time in the emergency room, there was a guy next to me with a bowel obsruction moaning. Finally a doc helped him by giving him an enema, I hope I never need one of those! Also, when I first got there a DOA was brought in and got to see the family come in greiving about their dead family member. Memorable day to say the least.

However, not all bad, I'm convinced that injury set up the events that led me to meet my girlfriend, so that's a happy ending.

I got to see George Carlin in San Antonio, TX straight outta rehab at the Majestic Theatre. That was probably my favorite day so far.

Bro...That sounds like an episode of Lost! The enema guy, the family of the DOA, the cops, the drunk kid, the couple that dropped you off and even the doctor are all connected somehow. And you'd probably see them all on the island.

Wow, earning $30 for getting kicked in the chest ranks higher than such things as getting into college, graduating high school or losing your virginity?

I said I was mentioning just a "memorable day", I wanted to give an example for how posters can respond. You know how some people would be like "I don't have a greatest day" or something...

Also college is easy to get into. lol who fails at going to college? Graduation wasn't special either, as I did my homework and went to class and I hated most of ----All of the kids from my graduating class. The virginity thing I wouldn't really get into or share, especially here. And I have better days then all of those.

I could understand the confusion though, those definitely are big things for some people.

One of the most memorable times for me was the Summer of 2006. I had just started my first job at as a Prep Cook at a 5 Star restaurant and was making tons of cash. I got my driver's license that summer, plus I really established who my true friends were who are still close to me even to this day. Not to mention that was the summer before I started my senior year in high school. I also took a big road trip to New York, Canada and Chicago that summer. It was a great summer.

Graduating High School, starting college and moving out on my own were also very memorable.

As far as the single greatest day, I think it's hard to choose, but the best consecutive days I've ever had were July 17th-20th, 2008.

July 17th: The Dark Knight midnight showing with my brother, uncle, and hundreds of other people... I couldn't believe it was finally here. When the lights went down... Everyone cheered. Plus, I had Reeses Pieces.

July 18th: I wallowed in the amazingness of TDK and prepared for the next two days.

July 19th: Went to New York City with my Dad and brother. We did a whole crap load of radical things, and New York was better than I even imagined. That night we tried to get to the top of the Empire State Building, but they wouldn't let us in because they said there were already too many people on the observation decks, so instead we wandered around Midtown in search of a milkshake. We slept in a really nice hotel in the Upper West Side.

July 20th: Went to a Yankees game and became a Yankee fan for a day. Andy Pettite pitched 8 innings, Giambi hit a homerun, and Rivera came in and closed the game. I was in the bleachers, but it was still a great moment. Later that night we had ran through Chinatown trying to find the bus back home. We jumped over trash, narrowly avoided cars, had other white people that had no idea where they were going either follow us, and then we finally got to the bus.

As we were leaving New York, I looked out of the window at all the huge skyscrapers, the biggest things I've ever seen, and there was a full, orange moon in the sky above the Statue of Liberty. It was beautiful.

I'll never forget those four days.

I also got a pack of Sour Patch Kids while I was waiting in the subway. They were good.

Going to the Grand Canyon, having a cross country drive with friends is memorable. Getting kicked in the chest for money? Not so much.

When West Ham beat Man United on the last day of the season to avoid relegation. Man, we had the sickest party after and I got some real good bedroom action that night. :D

The day my daughter was born.

Either that or the day The Dark Knight came out.
Am I the only one who finds this statement hilarious?

Only on the hype, will you find someone who considers the release of a Batman movie, as being equally important as the birth of his own daughter. lol

It's like Louis CK's bit on the uses of words like amazing, genius, etc.

"You know that piece of buffalo chicken was amazing."

Amazing is seeing a ghost, sking down a dangerous slope or see like someone craft an intricate design into rock or ice. But you know what's just like that? Eating a chicken wing.

Didn't Jessica Simpson actually think Buffalo wings came from Buffalo? :hehe: Stupid cow.
