well... i decided to go less wild with my concept (i.e. not a hilarious paring).

So, while I'm looking forward to all of the brilliant, funny, clever things people do with this theme... I couldn't stop with the Wolverine/Storm match-up.

Not hilarious in the least, but I kept brainstorming and it was like... Just different versions of these two over and over.

So, clearly, I gave in.

I had an idea for another month's theme though. What if Tim Burton had designed your favorite superheroes?

this is a wicked idea! i guess people may feel the opportunity has been missed with sweeney todd now a month [or so] old, but... what do other people think? regardless of the quality of his films, he has such a distinct and extraordinary aesthetic... this could be fantastic.

I've decided to give this a try:

Its obviously based on all the celebrity couples "news" they always have on shows like ET, and the insider.

I decided for some reason to try and use characters from the movies. And yes, that is supposed to be Dolph Lundgren as the punisher.

My scanner is black and white only, and I dont have photoshop, so...yeah. Enjoy.

well decided to throw something in, just for fun. There have been some great stuff so far.

Mattchew, love that you went serious, everyone else seems to be doing the jokes. The gestures and look of your piece just mesh really well, and don't know if you intended it but the way the hair joins making the bottom shape of a "heart" seems like a nice touch. If you just use the background colours to form the semblance of the top portion it would create a new interesting dynamic IMO.

Phig, loving yours too. Pretty funny, and like that Ivy isn't freaked out by Swampy.
