February 2012 Solicitations

Another Jumping on point one issue for Spider-Man? I swear Marvel just copies and pastes their solicitations.

I just realized we're only 20 issues away from ASM reaching #700. With the way the publishing schedules going, we could reach 700 by the end of 2012.

With 2 issues a month I calculate around Thanksgiving/late November 2012.

Lots of stupidity in the Spidey/Ultimate ones...Marvel just loves throwing away their money and pissing off their fans, don't they?

This is a book that better suits a guy like Mark Bagley.

Marvel needs to stop with the .1 issues...seriously. Too many books in one month for me. A lot of stuff is getting dropped simply because I can't afford it.

Marvel is slowly pushing me to just be DC, Image, Dark Horse, and Indie reader.

Marvel's .1 thing is so incredibly stupid, but they must be selling well if marvel keeps making them.

Not for me. I've dropped Venom and Amazing Spider-Man, again, because of this .1 stuff. That's far too much money to invest into the story each and every month. I really am enjoying Venom so I'll just start trade waiting from now on when it comes to that book. Don't want to drop ASM either but I'll trade wait for that.

Recently dropped FF because they brought back Fantastic Four and to follow the grand scheme of the story you have to buy both titles. Not gonna do it. So, now that's about 12 to 15 bucks that Marvel loses from me and can be invested in other companies that keep their books at a nice 2.99.

I second this, Mark, himself has stated that he loves the challenge of drawing multiple types of characters all the time. That is why he jumped on Thunderbolts, Avengers, and DC's original 52 when he had the chance.

Well they did put Mark Bagley to draw the "Movie Avengers" title starring Cap, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and White Nick Fury!

Man thats always the thing with Marvel movies and them trying to get a new audience, aint people gonna be confused that Nick Fury aint Samuel L Jackson lol.

Ugh, one arc into Avenging Spider-Man and I'm gonna have to think about dropping it already? F***ing Greg Land? Really? Really?

Cool, I'll probably just skip that one, then.

In other news: POWER PACK! :awesome: :awesome: :awesome: :awesome:

Daredevil and Punisher look sensational as always, those are the best books marvel's putting out imo. Although i fear for them because their sales are less than stellar :(.

I'm pretty sure DD is way above cancellation range. Punisher may be safe now that MAX has been cancelled and it will soon be the only Punisher book.

Yeah, maybe the fact that it's actually good will keep some of the MAX snobs reading it after their version is gone.

I read both, just always preferred the MAX version. Rucka's been OK, the recent issue was the best so far.

And isn't there a DD/Punisher crossover coming soon?
