It seems to be a satire comedy about who won't be Captain America lol. :p I mean it probably resolves around the close supporting characters of Steve and Bucky with the media-****e Deadpool joining the issue.

Also cool to see a one-shot of Ares! Also don't forget the April Ultimate Comics are up!

Oh god I didn't even see that. It seems like a super hyped pointless one shot, then it says "what major new Marvel event comic it leads into." so you think hey this might actually be imprtant in some way then you get to "Featuring a special appearance by everybody's favorite underused character, Deadpool! At last, Deadpool! In a comic!" and you just go "ugh"

Who Won't Wield The Shield is a totally unnecessary Captain America one shot that will push Steve into the SHIELD job. The next one will probably be Who Wants To Be The Next Captain American Idol? completing the trilogy and costing us all another $4.

Haha

Since when did Deadpool become the next wolverine? I've counted like 15 titles he's either starring or co-starring in. Are his books selling that well? Who's demanding all this deadpool??

The Ace of Knaves. I think we should shoot him.

Yeah, pretty psyched about his return. He looks insane on that cover though :hehe:

Ares one-shot should be fun.

I think I may actually read that Thor/Power Pack mini, even though I've generally avoided the Power Pack 2.0 comics in the hopes that Marvel might move back to the 616 Power Pack. But it's got the Pet Avengers and Thor...

Thanos looks scary as s*** on that GotG cover. Always fun to see him, though (provided Starlin's not retconning every loss he's ever racked up).

Thanos returning sounds fantastic. I'm also quite happy to see Annihilus returning in Fantastic Four. Heck I don't read FF, but I may pick up that arc just to see the big bad bug return.

Also, even though I'm not a huge Deadpool fan, seeing that Cable had Deadpool help him grab the baby originally is interesting. Not sure why Deadpool didn't stick with him to make sure he had backup though.

I like the way Salvador Larroca draws the new Iron Man suit compared to first picture shown of it. I actually may like it now.

Seems like just another reason to sell a Deadpool book to me so I won't bother with it.

And yeah, I've not read Fantastic Four (save the Civil War issues) since the Hereafter arc, but I'm curious about that one... and I'm hearing good things about Hickman. I love his Secret Warriors so Fantastic Four can't be too bad.

I actually hate the way Larroca draws it. I was looking at the cover solicitation and the design preview side-by-side and Larroca's just looked terrible to me. I'm not a fan of Larroca in general, though.

Blech, I'm not a fan of Larroca's art anyways...it just seems to stiff for me for some reason. I hated his art during all of Milligan's X-Men disaster.

In terms of comics this month (provisionally):

Black Widow #1 - provisionally; like the character, will depend on how the news around the title develops.
Captain America #605 - reliable as usual.
Daredevil #506 - getting back on schedule, neat cover style.
Fantastic Four #578
Girl Comics #2 - great creative teams; still waiting for some information on what exactly they'll be writing about.
Hercules: Fall of an Avenger #2 - awesome; wish that someone other than Olivetti was drawing it, though.
Invincible Iron Man #25 - may switch to FVL's title, depending on how things go.
The Marvels Project #8 - has been good; the Alan Davis variant seems a bit out of step with the tone, though.
Mighty Avengers #36 - and so ends an era, just when it was really getting good.
New Mutants #12 - crossover time. I'd dropped to just 2 X-books over the last few months, now it's six. Shakes fist; nonetheless, glad we're finally getting the resolution.
Siege #4
Thor #609
Uncanny X-Men #523
Wolverine: Weapon X #12 - Aaron writing Logan and Bucky together should be good.
X-Force #26
X-Factor #204 - we'll see how I like the first arc done before I decide on continuing.
X-Men: Legacy #235

Trades:

Excalibur Visionaries: Warren Ellis v.1 - I'm surprised it took this long to collect this, given Ellis' popularity; admittedly, these aren't the highest-profile characters, so that might have been part of it. Good news, nonetheless; I've wanted to read this for a while.

Wolverine: Weapon X: The Adamantium Men - Jason Aaron writes a good Wolverine. It's annoying how Marvel's paperback production has been slowed down lately, but whatever.
