There's enough people and more important legends to make Goldberg's return unnecessary. I don't see how he could help the business either. It might be fun to watch him squash Ryback but he has to be willing to put over people like Reigns.

TNA House Show in Mobile, Alabama. 300 Fans in attendance in an area that can fit about 10,000.

I used to live an hour away . I respect Sting for performing in front of small crowds. He deserves to return in a sold out arena though

PWInsider reports that Daniel Bryan has been cleared to return to action after his concussion!

Goldberg was all smoke and mirrors. It was all about his entrance and presence, not his matches. I do like that aspect about him, but that's all he is. You can really do that with anyone.

Figured that would happen since WWE chose to keep it all under wraps.

Oh don't get me wrong, the presentation was excellent. But I agree that could have been done with just about anybody.

Goldberg's best work?

Every. ****ing. Christmas.

If I were religious I'd be thanking whatever deity I bowed to.

As a Goldberg mark, I am very disappointed.

However, the opponent he should have has fallen so far down the totem pole, that it doesn't matter.

We’ve noted recently how there are money problems surrounding Bill Goldberg’s WWE return deal. The latest word was that Goldberg and WWE were very far apart on money.

In recent months there was a hangup over creative decisions surrounding his return and the two sides were believed to be “within reason” on money. However, now word is that Goldberg budged on his price and when WWE didn’t agree, he upped the asking price for a return. While things were initially looking good from a monetary prospective, they’re now described as far apart once again.

To go with this, it’s said Goldberg has little interest in a match against Roman Reigns. Goldberg is believed to have other opportunities on the table and at this point a deal for him to work at WrestleMania XXX does not look like it’s going to happen.

Battle of the spears instead of Goldberg vs Bizzaroberg? Meh, I don't care one way or the other, the only way I could see this working is if they booked a Legends team vs The Shield as I don't see any interest in a Goldberg vs Reigns singles match.

I didn't realize they were still doing this campaign.

Which one of these matches is your favorite Macho Man WWE Title match?:

vs Ted Debiase - Mania 4:

vs Hulk Hogan - Mania 5:

vs Ultimate Warrior - Mania 7

vs Ric Flair - Mania 8

Vs Flair is easily the best IMO, still the greatest WWF/E title match in Mania history.

I admit I was a mark for Goldberg in 98, I don't think just anyone could do what he did as he looked like he was carved from granite and had a real aura and presence about him. I agree that he was a Wizard of Oz deal though, much like Warrior, once the entrance was over there wasn't much to see. Still wish Vince had found him first though, he'd have used him much better than Bischoff did.

Goldberg is officially returning or still just a rumor?

Don't know if this has been posted before but Bray Wyatt offered a kayfabe explanation as to what happened to Husky Harris (his previous gimmick) and it's creepy as hell :woot:

When the Wyatt character runs its course I'd like to see "The Exorcism of Husky Harris."

I think Goldberg could have been a lot better, but WCW pushed him so hard so fast while sticking to the squashing jobbers formula that he never really got a chance improve like he should have.

I hope the Wyatt character never runs its course. I find it highly entertaining.

Goldberg would have had much more longevity if Vince got to him first, but I don't know if he could have made such a huge spectacle out of him as Bischoff did. He made him into a real money machine. Could that have happened if he was developed in the WWE?

I actually wanted to see Goldberg come back, but you can't just book him against anybody and expect it to work. The Undertaker is the only marquee match for him and it sounds like Bill doesn't want to do the job, lol.

Disagree. Bill had the look and charisma. Not anybody can have that.
