I'm pretty sure they made a sequel to XII, I think it came out on the DS.
It came out on the DS which makes it completely irrelevant to me

Some videos from E3 2011
I'm really excited for this game, seems less linear, looks like excellent graphics!!!!! People quite complaining about the combat system, it's great.

Seriously. The battle system was one of the biggest complaints about XIII. I cant believe they are bringing it back instead of doing something elseWell I ain't buying it then. Ah Square when will you learn?
Fair enough, you liked it but a good number of FF fans did not. FFXIII had some major complaints launched against it and the battle system was one of them. This was their chance to fix what was wrong about the last game and actually take in the criticisms and go in a different direction. FFXIII-2 shouldnt be more of the same. I was actually holding out hope that they would be improving the gameplay and using the extra time to flesh things out a bit more. Sadly, it doesnt look like this is the case. I smell a straight up cash cow.I'm sorry, i have to chime in here, the battle system in FFXIII was the best by far. It was an excellent system. It was well-balanced, fast pace, all strategy. I mean, if you are the leader in a group, REALISTICALLY, you assign roles to your team mates, not tell them what task to do. It's called being a good manager. Ex., you assign a teammate as the Medic, and let him/her make the decision of what to do as a Medic. It's perfect.
Have you ever played a FF game before XIII? The battles werent any longer or shorter than what was in the previous entries. Heck some battles in XIII could take up to a half hour to get through.YOU ALL SERIOUSLY WANT TO CONTROL EVERYBODY'S MOVES, YOU KNOW HOW LONG A SINGLE BATTLE WOULD TAKE
i have played FFX, and liked the battle system of that game as well. When i played XIII, i complained about how the system didn't allow me to control all characters/moves, but once i started playing the game, i LOVE THE SYSTEM in XIII. I think, you have play for a bit a while to appreciate the system, did you beat the game?Fair enough, you liked it but a good number of FF fans did not. I not only beat the game, I have 77 hours logged into my final save. Playing the game didnt make me appreciate it as it flat out stunk. I didnt say the battle system was the only major complaint; it was one of many. Battle system is directly tied to gameplay. If one cant enjoy how the gameplay is set up than that is going to have a negative impact on a player's experience regardless of everything elsei have played FFX, and liked the battle system of that game as well. Plus, the major major complaint of the game was not of them battle system, and was how the story was linear, which they improved alot in XIII-2
It was boring nad long bc you literally did nothing but mash the X button and need to know when to switch your roles to heal/attack. It was oversimplified and didnt require any skill.I can't speak for Havok, but it took me like half a year to finish the game, I believe. Not because it was difficult, but because I got tired of it really fast and decided to let the game collect dust, until I was in the mood to pick it up again.
There's potential for the battle system to be fun, but the way they handled it in FFXIII, it got boring really fast. Mostly because some battles took too ****ing long. And spending most of the time switching roles, doesn't exactly make for an exciting battle experience in my honest opinion.
Serah for me is the only intruging part so far. I thought she was going to be playable in FFXIII but sat the vast majority of it outI thought FF XIII-2 was supposed to be about Lightning in her new armor.........but most of the screenshots shown so far show Serah and that new guy..............
