Final Version vs. Workprint - Official Discussion

It definitely is the one from their mission raid.

so far from what I have read things are not looking so good for the final work print compared to the leak. What i want to know is does the actor christian clark appear as dr robert windsor in the movie aka mr sinister ? the guy in charge of that mutant prison facility and the one that helps create the weapon x character.

wow i just noticed that christian clark is no longer on imdb listing in x-men origins film. I wonder what happened...

okay folks. i mean compared to all of the comic book movies we have gotten so far. i don't know how to feel about this movie

while i have not seen this film in its final version. according to reports its the same movie as the workprint just without a score and unfinished fx.

I mean i think i now know how star wars fans felt about star wars the phantom menace when it came out.

while i personally like x3. i'm now starting to agree that bryan singer should have stayed on to direct x-men 3 or atleast have came back to work on wolverine. im sure that bryan singer is shaking his head at this turd of a movie.

as far as comic book films go we have gotten from the late 90's to now. we have gotten.

1.Judge Dredd
1.spawn
2.Blade trilogy
3.X-men trilogy
4.Spider-man trilogy
5.daredevil-elektra
6.hulk-the hulk (reboot)
7.punisher-punisher warzone (reboot)
8.batman begins-the dark knight
9.fantastic four 1-2
10.Iron Man
11.Superman Returns
12.Sin City
13.The spirit
14.ghost rider.

the wolverine movie is by far the worst and the weakest of them all. Sure its not batman forever/batman & robin bad. but c'mon i think that this movie couldve been dark knight good.

i feel bad for jackman. he's a talented actor and supposedly a real nice guy. and i thought that he understood the wolverine character. Also he seems to be a very popular actor in the US and Australia. he is a megastar and he has a fanbase. so i'm sure even his fans are dissapointed. the "ferrari without a paintjob" comment was just not true. this film is a pick-up truck without wheels.

I personally liked his more realistic grounded version of wolverine. in x1,x2, & x3 we caught glimpses of the berserker rage.

so i thought for sure we would get this. the new xbox 360 video game cinematics and the 90's animated series nail down wolverine better than this entire movie. its a shame

Not this fan. I thought he did a great job in this.

I didn't see the final, as I refuse to give them any money after the way they screwed Cyclops in X3. I doubt the finished product is any better than what I saw.

The only thing I feel bad about him for is that he actually had to say "Before I gut you..." :hehe:

But he did a terrific job, yes. His moment after that ridiculous line talking to Kayla was strong too.

My impression is that many Jackman fans loved the movie.

I haven't seen the workprint, but a few have mentioned that in some scenes, the workprint had greater definition around the groin area.

I enjoyed the movie for a fun movie sake. It was like X3 where it was fun, but got some things off:csad:
BUT the cgi was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the logan in the bathroom scene(you know, the one where they tried to give him a "peter parker just gettin his powers vibe" w/ aunt may and uncle ben also included) made me think i was still watchin the workprint version.

you all were right who said that the claws in X1 were even better. i seriously don't think there were any real claws made for this movie, with the exception maybe of the bone claws that cyb....i mean sabertooth broke and then they magically grew fully back when he had the adomantium put over them.
A sad truth was, the WOLVERINE movie had none of WOLVERINE'S ACTUAL CLAWS....sigh

I think The Spirit!, Ghost Rider, Electra, Daredevil, Blade 3, Punisher films and Fantastic Four films are all much much worse than Wolverine.

So how did the pacing seem to anyone?

It felt rushed. Like Fox wanted to get me out the theater, so they could get in the next batch of PAYING CUSTOMERS.:whatever:

The music in the work print was FAR SUPERIOR to that of the final version.

So, what you mean to say is that BB, TDK and Transformers score >>>>>>> Wolverine score? :woot:

I don't think anyone was expecting it to be as good as The Dark Knight. As for Wolverine being the weakest, I disagree. Ghost Rider, Elektra, Fantastic Four and Punisher Warzone are definitely worse than this one.

What's different from the workprint version besides the finished effects? How was the score? Were there any missing scenes or was that all just a rumor?

an after credits scene where Deadpool is getting himself together to snark another day

Yep. One scene in particular. :cwink:

:wow:
Yes I can say that is very true, he's been blurred, semi painted out, and some parts even cut compared to what is shown in the work print. The most obvious of this is when he walks out of the cabin shirtless in the beginning and the wind is blowing, in the work print he is quite crotch showy but in the theaters on the big screen, completely blurred out. And I think some parts of his escape scene are shortened also.
