Given that in the previous picture Beckett is holding the badge and then the following picture she is extending the badge to the other woman, I would guess that she is handing it over to the woman in red.

Castle, P.I. would be awesome! But it would take a lot of incentive for Esposito, Ryan, and Laney to leave the police force and join Castle in the private sector.

That pic pretty much gives away who the new chief is. I think though they made a good casting decision there with the new chief.

it was a good start, i'm gonna go back to saving them on my DVR and watch them in groups of 3's.

TBH, the amount of fan speculation i've been involved with over the break.... a lot of what went on was theorised a few times.

Beckett hearing Castle's declaration... but not being able to deal with it... & thus cutting herself off from him for two months is a interesting way of avoiding the whole thing of her reply to it. i know a lot of fans who aren't too happy the writers are still dragging that little thing out.

I was a bit..... uneasy about how they dealt with Beckett basically doing what Castle had done last season by going away and not calling.... part of me felt that Castle had no right to be angry... but the other part of me saw this as a completely different scenario to the whole Hamptons FUBAR.

New Captain... So far, she's just a hard arse.... wanna see a couple more episodes on the new character before i decide if i like her or not.

And to the ending twist...Castle is doing what he feels he must do to resolve the massive wrong he did by re-opening Beckett's mum's case.... and indirectly causing Kate to be shot.... and i kinda applaud him on that.... but i get the sense that the way he's going about it, seemingly on his own.... is only going to lead to trouble later in the season.

It'll be interesting to see the direction the writers go this season... hopefully with the same jokey style the show had before...
