Do we know if Neil Patrick Harris will ever guest star? After all, the writers of the show issued a challenge to him.

Awesome! :D

Awesome. Now, to await new for Summer Glau, Sean Maher, Jewel Staite, Ron Glass, Morena Baccarin, Gina Torres and Alan Tudyk. :p

Hasn't Morena already guested on Castle?

Very cool.....

though please no Glau for a few seasons.... she seems to have picked up a curse of killing shows lately

That myth needs to be broken by her guesting on Castle, an actual good show. :oldrazz:

Nice pictures except for Stana. I love this show but now I find everything about her to be repulsive. Which is strange because when the show first started I used to think she was beautiful. The other ladies in that group shot look nice.

no doubt there'll be something...

When's ABC going to announce all their renewals? getting rather annoying waiting like this

I'm sure Castle will be renewed.

Well this week's Castle wasn't really like Dancing with the Stars much at all. That plotline barely featured. It could've been anything in fact and still would've worked. The main plot was more like something ripped out of Ringer :funny:

It was a fun episode.... the sort of thing that Castle does best...

Next week looks like a rather serious one again....

Yeah some good twists and I didn't expect the dance show element to be completely left behind after the first few minutes. I love the way Castle does the family scenes and I wonder if Alexis may end up full time as Lanie's apprentice. Ryan and Espo's stripper and the ring side story was gold. :funny:

Yeah, next weeks looks like a game changer.

Great episode, the way the story was pieced together was brilliantly done and there were some great scenes with Castle and Alexis and Castle and Martha.

The big Beckett reveal has now set things up for the road to the season finale and of course Castle acted as we guys usually do in such matters lol.
I was a little surprised Martha didn't suggest he may be getting the wrong idea, but looking at next weeks episode Rick has decided to go full speed ahead with moving on. :funny:

The whole 'sin of silence' situation between Castle and Beckett I just do not like. I mean these situations can always be solved by just talking it out. I expected something better from the writers or at least something different.

Good episode this week. It's fun how a quotation ("sin of silence") is given at the beginning which later ties into Castle & Beckett's situation, and Castle uses it to send Beckett as subtle message at the end (ie that it's cowardly).

I wonder how long the writers are going to draw this will-they-won't-they situation out however? The problem is that if they put them together, then the show will lose some of its sexual tension, as evidenced by other similar relationships in other shows. However, after a while just dragging it out gets painful (eg Dawson's Creek).

Actually JAG dragged it out for 10 seasons with Harm and Mac (well 9 actually since Catherine Bell didn't start playing until season 2) but they did move on in their relationships for a few years, only getting engaged in the series finale. I wonder if a similar approach will be taken with Castle?

the writers don't believe in the 'Moonlighting' curse.... probably because the two main writers of the show are Husband & Wife...

gotta say...I don't like what they did with Castle and Beckett. I won't mind as long as they don't drag it out too long with the whole Castle being mad at Beckett thing or trying to ignore her.

I get the sense this situation will last till the end of the next episode or even the one afterwards.... with the rest of the season being for 'Phone Call Guy' and that whole plot device...

Have to say, i'm wondering how the writers will try and top last season's finale.... not sure how they could with the fans TBH...

There are plenty of things they could do. Such as have Castle's super secret CIA daddy come in and save the day etc.

This isn't like the standard "Will they/won't they" deal, at the start of the season they had that talk where without actually saying it they admitted to having feelings for each other, and there have been so many scenes throughout the season that have showcased this; such has how Beckett was when she found Castle still alive in the bank raid, to the scene a couple of eps ago where she put her hand on his when Martha was doing her play.

Castle is a case of "When will they?" and has been all season, hell he even told his mother how he feels about Beckett so it's not in the usual doubt territory adopted by the premise.

In the convo they had at the start of the season Beckett in as many words asked Castle to wait for her to get her self together and lower her wall, and he accepted that, however something had to act as a catalyst to move us on and this crossed wires situation is great because it is going to take the story where it needs to go and we get to see Castle act like a prat in his hurt state, before they have the scene together where they lay it all on the table.......only to semi fall out again once she finds out he's lied to her about her mothers death and return to being friends until she feels she can truly trust him again. :cwink:

But in other shows the other characters have shown interest in and feelings for each other: JAG, Dawson's Creek, Smallville, etc. There's still a measure of uncertainty as events may conspire to prevent love from actually blossoming and denying them happiness. So even in Castle it's still will-they, won't-they?

The difference in all those cases is they filtered in other fully fleshed out love interests for both leads, with Castle there has been one each and both were quickly written back out because it was so fruitless given the chemistry with Castle and Beckett is so strong at this point no one buys anyone coming between them, or cares about the people they are trying to put between them, instantly making those characters of no use.

None of those other shows have ever been as clear as Castle is about the feelings the lead characters have for each other, so I maintain it's a When will they? at this point.

the main writer has also stated that he thinks there are many, many storylines they can pursue when the characters get together.... which i don't think he'd say if he wasn't planning on hooking them up before the show ends

I didn't really enjoy this week's episode as much. Castle seemed to have an almost peripheral role, and was hardly involved at all. He was just there to go on dates and make the odd comment. The episode seemed to revolve more around Beckett and the British guy, who didn't always sound totally British anyway. I think he might be Australian.
