Thanks, my guess is that part of the story of this next season is Heatwave being made into a movie within the show and that is the trailer Castle will show the team in one of the eps.

Does anyone think that Ryan needs a backstory for next season? We don't really know much about him except his girlfriend. We had already seen an episode that tells the story of Esposito, basically getting to know the character better, which was a well done episode.

Right now his character is full of nothing. There's no back story to him. Hopefully that's explored in the new season.

That's good.

And as much as I like Tamala Jones, is her character needed on the show anymore? They really don't need the M.E. to be an integral part of the show, as it's a character that they can recycle over and over again. CSI Miami has used three Medical Examiners, starting with Khandi Alexander, followed by someone younger (I forgot her name, I know it's hard to pronounce) and then Christian Clemenson (who played Jerry on Boston Legal).

Something to do with Alexis, maybe? Maybe she's kidnapped and Beckett tries to stonewall him, knowing emotional parents tend to be bad for the investigation, so he goes all vigilante on her.
