Firefly's Fillion Moves into Castle

Why doesn't Fillion want to return without them? He could be the star of his own one-man show. Castle PI, which has been ultra successful this season. :o

If Ryan and Espo aren't back, then there goes the main focus of the show. Then it'll just be Castle, his mom, and Alexis.

Has anyone seen Mischa Barton lately? She and Stana Katic could pass as twins. They could always cast her as a new love interest. Maybe a real life Nikki Heat.

Eh, Stana's a better actress and she's got a better personality.

The thing is, Stana was hard to get back for this season. You have to wonder why. And honestly, I know we all love Fillon, but this isn't the first time these rumors have come up. And usually where there is smoke, there is fire.

How do you fire one of the two leads for budgetary reasons? You can slash almost anything us, but one of the leads? Nah, it doesn't seem right, at all. This show is literally based around there relationship. The major arcs have been built around Kate.

Lets be honest, every tv show or movie that has this kind of Relationship between two characters...brings rumors.

Bones, Sleepy Hollow, The Blacklist, Once Upon A Time, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Man of Steel, The Dark Knight, Captain America etc
The list goes on and on.

Its either that the actors hate each other or that they have an affair...its typical stupid gossip.

I can understand if they dont get along any longer...but i absolutly cant believe the rumor that Stana Katic was bullied by Nathan Fillion till she cried.

Again i only can go with what i saw of them due to Tumblr etc.
Stana Katic seems to be the kind of person who would rip somebody a new hole if they would be too mean to somebody.
So its hard for me to believe that she would take any kind of harrassment without standing up for herself.

Who would be Captain if Beckett leaves? Ryan or Esposito? But if one of them were, then it would split up their partnership. But if they had someone else come in then isn't that still an additional cost to have another cast member? And wouldn't it be at but unfair if neither Ryan not Espo are promoted but someone else takes Kate's place?

I can add Supernatural, The X-Files, and just about every series that goes on more than three or four seasons where two major cast members "hate" each other and one wants out, instead of you know, maybe wanting to spread their acting wings a bit or are tired of the role they have been doing for close to a decade.

If you read how some actors feel after being that character for so many years they really start to resent it or fully embrace it. Very few people are playing the same role for 10 years on and have no opinion on their typecasting.

Damn never heard that about Supernatural.

Im not up to date on my behind the scenes stuff for TV shows. I know they joked about it in the one episode where they came into the "real world" but I thought it was just a throw away joke

Oh yeah, there was/is a long standing rumor that Ackles and Padalecki hated each other to the point it was even spoofed once in an episode where they inhabited their actor counterparts in an alternate universe.

The truth is those two are as close to brothers in real life as they are in the show, minus all the angst and monster killing. On the flip side of it too they even lived together (platonically of course) for a while before the show really took off.

The latest episode (about the fellow with a "super power") was kinda fun. Almost classic, old-school Castle.

So everything hinges on whether it's renewed this Friday.

I just saw a piece about how they signed Jon Huertas, like, yesterday. How quickly did they decide to just drop the thing?

I think that perhaps they thought that the backlash over Stana leaving wasn't worth it just to have the show limp along for maybe one more season, perhaps. Better to end it now.

Funny thing is I'm actually happy this show is dead. I hate that everyone is out of a job but as a fan this had to die.

Does that mean we're getting a good ending next Monday? :)

Hooray! With Stana leaving, it was a good time to end. I don't wanna watch more Castle without Beckett.

I am a fan of the show and as a fan, I'm happy it's ending given it's cast situation.

This isn't the way I wanted the show to end, it would have been nice for ABC to announce a final season without this mess because most people are only going to remember the show for this.

I have a hard time believing ABC couldn't foresee that kind of response ahead of time. They just went through the same s*** last year with Patrick Dempsey on Grey's Anatomy. Did they really think the fanbase would be like "Oh, she's leaving? Alright..." and keep on trucking? I just can't imagine that they could've been taken by surprise by the backlash.

Its a sad day when fans are happy that their favorite show gets cancelled.
But it really is for the best.

When i imagined a Castle series finale as a rather fresh fan around season 3-4, i thought it would be with big media coverage, awesome episodes, getting awards...etc.
But now seeing it end like this...is just sad.

Its bad that many people now lose their jobs...but its better then leaving on a more miserable note.

The delaying of the wedding and the seperation storyline broke this once great shows neck.
Im watching the finale and decide then if i erase season 8 from my mind.

Thank you ABC! Though I'm still sad that its gonna be all over next week.. oh well! Not a lot of shows especially in broadcast TV can say that they lasted for eight seasons.

Logic would seem to dictate this now wouldn't it? But studios and networks have shown an astounding capacity to NOT learn from their previous mistakes in the past, so there's that.
