Firefly's Fillion Moves into Castle

They should do more with that girl who works with the computers and the surveillance at the precinct.

x100! She's way too hot to be reduced to what are effectively cameos. :oldrazz:

Since she doesn't seem to return as Agent 33 any time soon, they should definitely do more with her.

She was before they made that character a May clone...

Yeah, stuff like this never last long. Like last season with Beckett as an FBI agent.

This show is great at finding fun ways to tell stories outside of it's main structure, this will be another case of them just having creative fun before the team dynamic is restored.

This was another hilarious Episode. :funny: Beckett and Castle working together, despite not allowed to actually work together, made for some fantastic moments.

I hope we'll get a good number of Episodes, with Castle working as an Investigator.

It was hilarious,
the competition between the two teams was great. Loved the call between Kate & Rick with the 'Cheerleaders' ... Also nice to see more Alexis. They also planted a huge seed for the fanfic writers with the morning after scene....

Gotta wonder just how long the PI arc goes on for, and just what enables Castle to return to the 12th:huh:

This was probably one of the funniest Castle episodes so far.:D
I really liked every minute of it.

This episode! :funny:

So much fun and immediately enters into my list of favs. The double talk dialogue between Castle and Beckett was great and created some of the best Caskett moments to date! Their chemistry and timing is so spot on and everything with them is engaging and entertaining.

The case was also another clever one as the layers were peeled back, and I liked how it showed Castle's smarts and resourcefulness as he forged his own way.

One thing I was surprised by was not a single Magnum nod! At least they ended with the greatest Private Detective of them all, Sherlock Holmes. :D

The latest episode reminded me of Mr and Mrs Smith but not in a bad way.

Yeah they should more of "Castle P.I." for several episodes.

Great fun episode this week with lots of laughs. I agree the double talk between Castle and Beckett was hilarious.

But one thing I didn't quite get was why the lawyer lady whom they arrested at the end was involved. What exactly was her connection to that article being pulled all those years ago and who was she working for? Or did we not know that? Was there someone else pulling her strings?

Such a fun episode. I'm hoping he stays on as a P.I. I think this is exactly what the show needs. I loved his little noir bit too.

The lawyer was just a pawn to smear/frame the rising/future District Attorney. I'm sure we'll get to know more in the future.

So this DA is likely to be an ongoing arc which will pick up again later?

I'm just speculating. Castle can't consult w/ the NYPD because the current DA went to the Mayor. This new high-profile Attorney is introduced and Castle/Beckett essentially save him from going to jail. A few months down the road the Attorney is promoted to some influential status and Castle is able to be re-instated.

This never crossed my mind but I think you may well be on the money with this theory, we know Castle will end up back with the NYPD at some point and this definitely opened up an avenue.

Isn't that kind of how Beckett got back on the force?

Exactly. The Senator Bracket storyline became a recurring theme in the past. I see this whole Mob/DA/Attorney storyline unfolding similarly. I'm also sticking to my gunz that the Missing time from the Season Premiere will come back too.

Oh Castle's missing time and amnesia will definitely come back. They have to follow up on that and can't leave it hanging. Fans would be extremely frustrated if they just dropped that without ever revealing what happened just to derail the wedding and then rush out another one 6 episodes later.

I love P.I. Castle, Seems he's learned some clever tricks that make for a unique partnership with NYPD.

I love that the chemistry between Castle & Beckett has diminished one bit since their marriage. It's still got that spice credit to the on-screen chemistry between Nathan Fillion & Stana Katic which is electrifying

You know, I really have to hand it to this show. They've avoided all the other pitfalls most series have when they base the show around the love story of one couple. They didn't draw it out necessarily long (Bones, I'm looking at you), they didn't pull a Ross and Rachel and have the constant break up/back together thing, and going along with that, also avoided the usually extremely weak excuses writers will throw in to justify the break-ups and keep the "will they or won't they" thing going on.

They've actually naturally progressed their relationship, and I'm really enjoying this new outlet with Castle as a PI, it seemed like a natural progression for his character.

So while this show is formulaic, it's nice to see it's not falling into the traps that other similar shows have in the past.
