Alot of guys here show female characteristics ..complaining and complaining ....people already made their verdict on the movie based on one measley photo LOL!

Is that not the point? For him to look like a "regular" character, while orchestrating the downfall of Thor and Odin without being suspected? He looks just like a regular character, without his distinctive traits.
I was about to write a loooooong series of bad names concerning the costumes, but am now much more inclined to nod at Miss Dawes in agreement, simply.
She was exact, succint and thorough.

I sure as hell hope this is a case like TDK were the costume looks better on film than it does in photos, coz these kinda look like something you'd see on some cheap sci-fi TV show or an episode of the Power Rangers. Not to mention that they all look remarkably similar, how about some design and colour variation? I get they wanted the character to work aesthetically with IM but I seriously think they've taken things a step or two to far.
I'm still wondering, what the hell is holding that eye patch up??
I'm confused as to how people hate them so much, personally. They're ripped pretty much straight from the comics. Even the gold on Loki's costume reminds me of the crazy, interwoven patterns of his Simonson-era costume. People seem to have gotten way too hung up on the idea that the Asgardians would all be wearing leather and look like they spent most of their time wallowing in dirt or something...
^we hate them because they look like cheap K-Mart produced halloween costumes
just doesn't look natural
How natural did you expect otherdimensional gods' clothing to look? How natural do the comic costumes look?^we hate them because they look like cheap K-Mart produced halloween costumes

That's because it's an alien suit. It's not supposed to look like it's from this world. Looks more accurate to the comics than all the suits in Thor combined.Well, I can understand the GL complaints. The costume did not look particularly good to me on the cover of that magazine. Too flat and bland. It looks like a glowing green bodysuit rather than an actual design.
There's a lot of that going on over in the Green Lantern thread as well. It boggles the mind at times.
I can understand if people wanted the costumes to look a bit more rugged but with all the comic panels people have been posting, they look fairly accurate.
Also, I heard those same ******** comments about the suits looking like K-Mart halloween costumes for Iron Man as well. If you're going to knock the suits, don't exaggerate so much, it just makes you look a bit silly. I wore a couple of those suits back in the early '80s for Halloween when I was real young and the ones used for the movie do not look or seem like them at all.
well I never said that about Iron Man, I enjoyed IM's suit, it worked with me 100%. I'm also enjoying the Green Lantern suit, actually LOVING it
but these suits
yea, not doing it for me.
It doesn't look alien to me, either. It just looks like a green bodysuit with the GL symbol silkscreened onto the chest. I wouldn't even really count that as a "design," per se. But it'll probably look better in action. Either way, I don't really care. I doubt I'm watching Green Lantern anyway. That's because it's an alien suit. It's not supposed to look like it's from this world. Looks more accurate to the comics than all the suits in Thor combined.
I...don't even know how to properly respond to a comment like this. If you can find me an image of Green Lantern that looks even remotely close to the movie suit, I'll back off. That's because it's an alien suit. It's not supposed to look like it's from this world. Looks more accurate to the comics than all the suits in Thor combined.

Helmets or not, THIS is the Kirby comic come to life that I've been dying to see...I think Odin looks the most impressive tbh. These characters will look way more impressive on film...
