I am pretty confident this would be certified Fresh in Rotten Tomatoes as WandaVision is still one of the better MCU shows. So I'm hoping this one is even better from the director. Metacritic, who knows, Deadpool & Wolverine scored pretty low there.

Well like I said before, the scores are going to be lower than they once were, a combination of many elements.

I'd say even classic fans of the MCU are less forgiving nowadays too.

If this gets a Deadpool reception it's a big triumph.

If the movie is great, I don't see how it couldn't score in the 90s.

Maybe, but I would hope for 70's -80's myself because the state of genre is in a different spot now with many reviewers. Also, the relationship fans have with sites like RT is in a different place. The qualitative impact of reviews can be just as potent with audience scores vs critical ones, I'd argue more in 2025.

I don't pay attention to audience scores. I feel like if this scores somewhere in the 70s, it would be a bit underwhelming especially looking at the MCU movies that scored within that number (Age of Ultron, Multiverse of Madness, Captain Marvel).

But at the same time, Fox didn't really set the bar high (
27%, 37% and 9%). So anything above 59% would be somewhat an accomplishment for the Fantastic 4. I also would like to see a Blade film with a fresh rating.

The first two Blade movies are great. This is all that's wrong with the RT ratings obsession.

Rotten Tomatoes
1994- 27% (11 reviews)
2005-
27% (212 reviews)
2007-
37% (171 reviews)
2015-
9% (259 reviews)

Metacritic
2005-
40 (35 reviews)
2007-
45 (33 reviews)
2015-
27 (40 reviews)

4+4=8

I want to be optimistic and say this will land in the mid to high 80s. Its been a while, since Marvel Studios had a movie scored in the 90s and high 80s.
