First time posting art.

Okay. I've just read all 9 pages of this thread, and seen all the masterpieces it cointains, and all I can say is: I want to cry.

Alex Ross has nothing on you. Truly great stuff.

Maybe you should really consider trying to get a professional gig. You are without a doubt extremely talented.

Props.

I've been wondering O'Haire, do you do any original stuff? I mean, not that what you do isn't good, cause it's fantastic, but I'm just curious.

Not really. When it comes to me doing my own thing. I'm very uncreative.:o

I honestly find it pretty hard coming up with anything. Thats why I just like drawing things I see and like.

Decided to do another V. Lots of black so it was easy and fast to do.

Very sharp.

And I was wondering, how the hell do your scans come out so smooth? Every I scan looks grainer than VHS.

I press down hard so the picture is right up to the glass while it scans. Might be your scanner to. My old one made the pictures pretty grainy.

Plus the pencil has been blended together with a Q-Tip so it looks really smooth minus the clothing.

And what kind of pencil do you use to get the dark areas jet-black? My scanner refuses to pick up any blacks, so all the dark areas come out a muddy grey.

A freakin' Q-tip!!! SWEET! Great stuff as always... I want to see you do a HULK from The Incredible HULK movie when they release an image... Or a HULK/Edward Norton pic.

No pencil. I use ink. I could never get the pencil dark enough without looking like crap (see the earlier pictures in this thread). So I just started using ink. Mostly just a plain old Sharpie.

I like to outlining my stuff with a 0.1 Staedtler Pigment Liner. That way if I have to erase a lot of shading the eyes and everything else are still there.

Never saw the movie. Looked pretty bad. But Chalize Theron looked great. And I have been wanting to draw her for a while.

the ink looks very sharp! nicely done..this whole thread is awesome!

Looks incredible, but the tips of the swinging hairs should be almost blending into the backround to convey motion. You did it on a few clumps, but there are a few prominent ones that could have used the effect.

Other than that, it's still a 10/10.

Just fixed the thicker bits of the hair. I also noticed some looked thinker because I forgot to erase the pencil outlines.

But I'll stick with this one. Don't feel like re-scanning it and uploading it again LOL.

I can't help my jaw dropping everytime i click the next page to see what you've done. I've always wanted to draw realisitic stuff like this, but my skill has yet to develop.

Anyway, i really wanted know, when did you realise you could do these magnificently, amazing drawings?

Theres nothing that I could do that could even touch what you do when it comes to art work. Your an inspiration to me and I hope someday I can draw as good as you:woot: . I really wanted to post a picture of Weapon X I did awhile ago and since this is my first time posting art this thread seems suitable. So heres one of my older versions of Weapon X: *note: His legs are rather thinner then what they should be and I forgot to add the hair to the rest of his body*::
