I know! That quote was great - especially since in Flash: Rebirth we learn that the bolt of lightning was actually Barry himself running through time and coursing with Speed Force energy that took the form of electricity. He did kind of get "chosen" to be the generator of the force.
By the way, I paused at the scene with Barry's mom and I think I sort of made out John Wesley Shipp's face in the background. Meaning that he's playing Barry's dad and not Jay Garrick like some people had hoped. I think it's better this way - he will literally be passing on the Flash legacy to a successor in a weird but cool kind of way.
The stunts and effects are really great for a TV show. A CW TV show no less. I hope that they can keep up the good stuff moving forward.
The line itself, I'm just not a fan of that kind of unfounded supposition. Projecting onto things like that with no reason what so ever. Why on Earth would Ollie say that? Why would he throw out such a woo woo bs statement like that?
I. . . can't help but spend the whole "inspirational speech" rewriting it.
"What if I'm not a hero?" "Barry, bud, you can't *possibly* be a worse hero than I was at the beginning. Unless you decide to start killing random security guards, you'll be fine."
