The Flash

Who remembers this show from 1990? I used to watch this show ALL THE TIME when it was on... I was 7. This show was like my favorite show of all time when I was 7, and The Flash was my freaking idol.

I got a few Flash comics when I was a kid after watching the show, although I never really got into them, one reason I think because I was used to Barry Allen being The Flash, and Barry Allen wasn't The Flash in the comics I had.

Anyways, I just got this show on DVD, and have watched a few episodes. Just wondering what people thought of this show.

It never made me a fan of The Flash comic books but the show was excellent.

It had the right idea. It was just never got the chance to carry them all out. Im sure we would haveseen more bad guys, and if it lasted long some heros as well. I thought the first 11 episodes were down right terrible. But the next 11 were pretty good.

Just curious, to anyone in the know, since I never got into The Flash comics outside a small few that I had, how accurate to the comics was the show?

I know that Barry Allen wasn't the original Flash, or the only one. And in the few comics that I did have, I don't remember anything about Tina McGee, or Star Labs, or Julio Mendez, or any of that.

What about Nightshade? And the villians? The Ghost, the scientist guy who controlled The Flash with that brain microchip, the scientist who turned himself into like a Dr. Jekyll / Mr. Hyde monster? Lerko, the hippie drug guy? Were these actual characters in the comics, and if so, how was the transition to the small screen?

I remmeber watching it, don't remember which Flash they used...but I do remember The Trickster being an actual threat unlike the JLU version.
