This most of been the lesser known female character Johns referenced as having a major role in the event

I'll be picking up the title miniseries, but the rest just looks like blah. And I mean, a ton of blah. I might get the Canterbury Cricket one.

Since Johns has all these expendable parallel characters to play, how many gruesome deaths are you predicting? I'm thinking one for every fifteen panels.

And since Abin Sur is keeping the ring and not dying and stuff, isn't that reason enough to keep Hal Jordan on the sidelines? I understand he's popular right now and the movie's on the way, but you've got War of the Green Lanterns. Here we have Halbert instituting a no-fly zone over Paradise Island. Is that tidbit supposed to make me want to buy his Flashpoint spinoff?

I wasn't aware Johns genuinely disliked the character. After all, it's kind of a sin, especially if you work at DC.

Geoff Johns doesn't dislike Batman at all, he's more than happy to write him for Batman: Earth One and even promoted Flashpoint as a Flash+Batman event.

Probably more like fifteen in every one panel

And I've heard tons of interviews with him and heard him at panels talk about how he's always looked forward to working on Batman. I think the last San Diego Con he was talking about wanting to work on Batman with Ivan Reis if I'm not mistaken.

Right now i doubt i will be buying any Flashpoint spin offs

Might read the Secret Seven one because i loves Milligan

My impression is that some have the potential to be pretty sweet but all have the potential to suck. So I'll be waiting on initial reaction to stir my direction.

i think everyone thinks johns disliked batman because he had GL punch him in Rebirth. people need to realize that action stems from hal and bruce's head butting personalities and history of the characters....and not an extension of johns' feelings about the character.

on a different note....this whole flashpoint is coming off as a very marvel-esque event....which im cautious of.

There are so many things wrong with that solicit

So many

I think the main Flashpoint series itself will be decent based on what Johns has been setting up in the Flash book, but damn if every single tie-in doesn't sound terrible, even the ones with creative teams that I otherwise enjoy. Watching these writers try to talk up what is basically "House of M 2: Elseworlds Harder" as the most important thing you will ever read in your life over at the DC Source is just...embarrassing.

Yep I honestly have no interest at all in Flashpoint or any desire to buy it or any of the tie ins

Most of them sound boring and badly thought out and the few Flashpoint tie ins that sound good still don't sound like they are worth buying

Will be glad when this event is over

I just saw all those solicitations. Some look interesting. Deadman and the Flying Graysons' cover looks fantastic and Cliff Chiang should draw everything all the time. And I don't know who Rex Ogle is, but I will read pretty much anything with Traci Thirteen in it.
