There definitely seemed to be some sort of attraction, at least on his end. He's very quickly in awe of her, and I think the implication was supposed to be he had some vague memory of her from his time as the Hulk (since Hulk and Valkyrie seemed to be friends).

Yeah, her portrayal was a refreshing change of pace. There was no self-pity or moaning in her behavior, just an amusing cynicism, a casual indifference, and a laid-back attitude about where she is in her life.

I'm confused why this even being discussed, it's literally fact vs opinion.

Right, Wrong, or Indifferent, the movie itself left wiggle room. They never actually use a name for her, and the Valkyrie are now an elite squad, not just a single person. Even in the credits she's just called Valkyrie they don't show a name.

Remember in AoU, Hulk was headed to the ocean to crash and based on Fiege's interviews Planet Hulk was never happening. Then Thor Ragnarok comes along and hey we're going to do Planet Hulk-ish and Banner went to space.

This is no different until they actually use a name for her, and give her more of a backstory. Which I hope they do I thought she was a fantastic addition. I'm just not sure who exactly she is. To be fair while the blonde that gets stabbed may have been a nod to the traditional Valkyrie we don't know who she is either.

They changed virtually everything about Valkyrie from the comics... and did so for the better. Valkyrie was awesome and so much more than the Thor-lite she is in the comics.

Agreed. The real Valkyrie in the comics bored me. This Valkyrie is better in every way. I found it very fitting that they stabbed the comic Valkyrie to death in the movie.

I don't get this desperate attempt to glum this new Valkyrie onto an existing character that has nothing in common with her.

Tessa Thompson did a great job bringing that character to life. It was a different and cool take at a female warrior. She was layered, had a great chemistry with everyone... She was a really strong addition to the franchise.

My favorite Valkyrie moment might have been when she threw [BLACKOUT]that bottle at Loki.[/BLACKOUT] She wasn't playing there, she was pissed. off. It was well-played by Tessa Thompson.

Almost forgot to mention that shot of Valkyrie when she put on for the first time the asgardian warrior outfit. When she was holding that massive laser mini gun. She looked beautiful. I love that shot. Don't really know why, but it think that profile shot of hers with the suit, the blue cape, the gun... She just looked so freaking cool. I wish there was a HD image of that particular scene because it is freaking amazing.
