I love the idea of Tony building Sam a new flight suit, but I'd prefer if it stayed in the current military/jet-esque realm of design. Tony letting Sam use some form of the Mark 42 tech to control remote bird drones or something could be cool too.

I don't picture them going to the bother of adding in a bird telepathy/robot drone. That wasn't really the take on the character they presented in Winter Soldier.

With Mackie/Falcon's addition to the MCU in Winter Soldier and his likely return for Civil War, I can't help but wonder what his future in the MCU will be post Civil War. Could he become a full time Avenger or appear as a supporting character in various movies?

Rumlow dominated the fight from what we saw. I suppose that by delaying him, Sam caused those injuries, but it isn't a particularly strong motive to shift the focus of his animosity from Steve to Sam.

Because villains are rational in their hatred. Falcon v. Crossbones is kind of personal now.

You're probably right, Bull, but I think Crossbones will be kind of pissed at Falcon in a "You got in my way, now about that pain." kind of way. I can't see a full transference of hate but I can certainly see Crossbones lingering to get a few more punches in on Falcon.

I think it'd be an interesting angle to explore...it doesn't have to mean that he hates Cap any less, just that he wants revenge on Falcon for how things went down in TWS.

It's good to hear they'll be updating the suit. One hopes it moves closer to the classic look.

I can definitely see them doing something close to what's featured in the TWS concept art. At least, color wise:

Agreed. And I must say, I'm kind of offended that some of those designs didn't feature bird wings, but were jetpack and airplane wing-like in construction.

It loses the Falcon essence when they are modeled after birds wings.

He better have something more colourful and not just like army fatigues. I'd like something that is red and white and hearkens back to his classic comic look. In TWS, it wasn't really a costume. He just wore the wings over a normal T-shirt and combat pants.

Well that's the point. It fit the logic of the story because that's probably the exact sort of design the military would go for.

Given Wakanda's propensity for animal and tribal-themed armor and weaponry, we might even get one with a bit more color.

That would make so much sense. Consider Tony Stark will undoubtedly be on the other side to Falcon in the Civil War.

Maybe he'll get two new suits? One, built by Stark, that gets disabled when he sides with Cap, and then another built in Wakanda.

It could even be kinda interesting if Stark makes him a suit and then sabotages it somehow when they end up on opposite sides.

I'm actually thinking they might be prepping him for the hard light holographic wings. I've noticed that unlike the other characters who have been changed to more closely resemble their comic counterparts (Hawkeye wearing black leather in every game, cartoon, and toy for instance) they still have Sam in a red suit with the energy wings in all the TV shows, toys, and games.

So perhaps they've been planning this for a while.
