For those who read the novel...

I thought Storm was just too unethical about taking the cure in the movie....she would of been the first one to say what logan said to rogue..take only if you want to...I never thought storm could say things like that in the movie to rogue and beast

^^Come to think of it...your right.

I didn't like how Storm was like in the movie - I think for what would have worked if she had more emotion towards Jean...i Mean come on, she was her best friend...shouldn't she feel some remorse for Jean- i mean before what happened to Xavier. Like someone mentioned before, Storm should have been in the same scene as Logan while Xavier discussed about Jean's condition. maybe bobby too...maybe... -sighs- damn it X. -puts his face in his hands-
You ain't the only one.:(

I love the novel. <3 alot!!! Every scene that Wolverine and Storm was in was a Rolo moment. Finally! But before I go into that let me just say this: The novel makes it VERY VERY clear when it was Jean in control and when it was Phoenix.

Rising up at Akali lake-Jean
Killing Cyke-Phoenix
Making his last thoughts be what he wanted most-Jean
Waking up in the med lab making out with Logan-PHOENIX
Asking for death-Jean
Killing X-Phoenix
Giving him a vision of his dream-Jean
Joining Magneto-JEAN

That was awsome on CC's part because it showed inner character conflict.

In teh novel do they describe any Phoenix powers or anything? I'm In love with Jean Grey!!

YES! They do and it was brilliant. They also tell you how and why the Phoenix came about. Again brilliant done by CC. (GOD I CAN'T WAIT FOR GENEXT)

If you want I can tel you in a spoiler or a pm, let me know.

Could u please tell me in a spoiler please. I would love that seeing as I'm a die-hard phoenix fan!!!

I didn't read the whole thing. but just certain parts. Though I should read it all in order.

One of the reasons why I feel the book is better is because it adds more depth to our X-Men and that kind of depth should have been brought onto the screen. It showed how conflicted Jean was in terms of her love for Scott and her feelings for Logan and in mind I could clearly imagine whats happening in my mind now that I've seen X3. Also Jean's confusion and her inner conflicts regarding her powers. hmm theres also a part when there's a flashback between Scott and Jean playing pool...heh it was cute. I thought. I also like pool...shooting balls with a stick is fun...on a table. anyway... uh. The book mentions a lot of flashbacks between Jean and Scott and Ororo befriending them and how she, hank and them became who they've become as we see them now.

I think Ororo was better in book than in the movie. It added more characterization for her and I felt for her too.

Ok folks here is a quick summary of how I understood the Phoenix in the novel.

So if you have the book and haven't gotten that far yet, DO NOT READ IT. And if you don't really want to know. Okiday!

When Jean, Scott, Beast, and Ro were all students together and train Jean would sorta focas on her telepathy, and not her telekinisis as much. One time Ro had created a few drops of water for Jean to focas her tk with. She was so into she could actually see the hydrogen and oxigen (sp) molecules. But she wasn't focasing on the world around her. She needed to learn BALANCE which she never did.
Now, as far as I know the Phoenix was created out of Jean's subconcious out of control telekinictic powers. That is what was demolucurizing everyone, and it was also what was leaking radiation and electro magntic energy.

I really liked the final battle in the book. (TIDAL WAVE) And the last fight was SOOOOOOOoooooooo much better. No "I love you" Bull. He told her, "Be well." He didn't have to say it. She knew. It was nice.

A Jean/Logan moment that didn't make me vomit:up:

So her tk enabled her to actually see the hydrogen molecules in the water? How can tk to that? She must have been focusing on floating the water really hard!

It was wonderfully descriptive in the book. Awsome moment.

But the Phoenix's powers allow her to rearrage molecules using TK. The only thing that she shouldn't be aloud to do is create and destory mass (unlike her mainline counter-part) because that would defy the very foundation of physics.

So when she killed people, she basically seperated and realeased their molecular structure using an incredable amout of TK.

Did I mention that I actually don't HATE novel-verse Jean/Phoenix.

Surprising, huh!

So far, for me anyway, I like both Novel-verse and movie-verse Jean/Phoenix. as I said before, the description are quite over the top and emotional. I can actually see that being translated to screen, but too bad.

^ LOL!! I love Phoenix and her powers. Maybe all the Phoenix fans should ban together and make a serperate Phoenix Saga movie the way it should have been done.

Novel-verse Jean is tolerable because it humanizes her. But I like my favorite characters....alive. (Sorry, Phoenixers)

Go Storm!

But lets talk about all the delicious Rolo moments. My favorite was the one where he was gonna look for Jean...And he was like I'm not comming back, and Ro was like what if you do then what, and he looked at her and was thinking if I do mebbe I can move on...with Ro!

YES *DOES HAPPY ROLO DANCE*

LOL! Thats what i'm saying. I find that rediculous.

In the novel her telepathy allowed her to see it, and the TK allowed her to manipulate it. It was because she couldn't control her TK enough, that it took on a life of it's own.

Oh Javon I JUST found out the tk can do that. It's her teleknetic sentivtiy (sp_ that allows her to do that. Her TS (teleknetic sensetivity) allows her to feel the texture of her obects and probe them at a molecular level letting her see what teh object she has a tk hold on contains.

That still sounds a little far-fetched for me.

LMAO!!!!!!!

My second favorite Rolo moment was when Wolverine was jealous of the attention Hank was getting from Ro.

Awww....

The danger room scene, OH COMMON ya'll know that was hilarious. The only think that could make Wolverine behave was Storm's @$$. Haha

How? I mean her TS is in the comics? It it does make sense? I mean it has to be a reason tk can float up things?

I'm talking about looking at molecules..thats insane.

Well her Phoenix Powers does allow her to control molecules....what's the difference from seeing them?

Why Javon, Storm can do stuff on a molecular level too. She dissurpt the electrons (which she can sense) and do stuff with it. She can mess with the electricity in a person, kinda like a dephibilator.
