For those who read the novel...

I know. But this isn't about Storm. I guess ther's no use for me to say anything....I can't anything about.

Jeans molecule level powers are far beyond storms...

Phoenix can rip apart molecules using her mind, Storm can tear them up using her electricity bascially, its more complecated than that, tho. Can't explain it completly.

Now see. Someone needs to deal with your ass now before you start a debate. I know you see people writing about how they hate storm and phoenix debates. Now your just leading right into when nobody said anything about who was better.

Last time I checked dead people don't mess around with molecules. :D

And Storm never really has either, cause its totally out of character for her to be that cruel. But she can.

So it looks like neither one will be doing it for a while:o

Perfectly explained. Now can we change the subject before a debate breaks out? Anyway, how was cyclops different in the novel?

I love when people put words in my mouth..who said I hated storm...I just made a plain and simple fact..And now someones mentioning jean dead..I wonder whos hating now..

And let the World War III begin. But I liek debates and stuff cuz without them everybody would be getting along TOO MUCH and plus it'll be a really boring thread with debates so I say don't care about them b/c their going to start anyway......watch

Phoenix will beat the hell out of storm. (Which is totally true!

To be fair, both woman are as equally powerful in their own way and they have their own uniqueness. Thats what I like about them. but I guess if you pit them against each other...well thats another story. In all, when both are equally as powerful, theres no way the two should pit against each other... they're friends. Phoenix or not, Jean is Jean and Ororo still considers her as a friend... lets not forget that the two shared a fairly good friendship in the books and X2 (even though it was only briefly)... my brain hurts... :(

*sigh*...how childish can ya get.

No debate I'll go on forever.....anyway LS settled this little debate already...

How is stating a fact hating? Seriously?

FACTS:

Jean is dead, as in not living anymore. If she comes back in the movies or MAINLINE comics, fine whatever. But tope writers at Marvel have said that she isn't coming back for a LOOOONG time, if ever. I'm inclind to believe that because it's already been, what three years?

Storm has omega-like POTENTIAL. Marvel has not stated wether or not they will make a move in that direction. Hell, they haven't done anything signifigant with Bobby after actually declaring that he is an omega. So I don't expect anything there either.

THE END!

ummmm.....in the novel.....did they establish that Cyke's dies?????

or do they leave it ambiguous???

It's left as ambiguous, just as bad as in the movie. Here's the last section of the Alkali Lake reunion scene:

"They were happy, and they wanted it to last forever.
Then, the light in Jean's eyes turned to fire.
They opened wide,w hep lips turning from the latest kiss to an O of alarmw shared in that perfect moment by Scott. Something basic had changed, and neither knew what would come next, or how to cope.
Scott started to shiver, his skin like the corona of a star boiling off excess plasma.
He looked into the eyes of the woman he loved and saw something had had never been before, that had never even been suspected, and he knew hat was coming, both now and in the days ahead.
And because it was his turn, because he knew what it would mean to herw he gave her a smilew the one that came to him when he realized this was the woman he loved and that, now and forever, she would love him. He gave her trust, he gave her strength, he gave her courage.
Not forgiveness though - because for him, there was nothing to forgive.
Then the world went white."

????

I like the fanfic l scene rewrite versions in this and thexverse forums much better. This just gives me the creeps and for all the wrong reasons

They do a cursory search for Scott in the novel but don't turn up any evidence except his glasses. His death is assumed when they don't find anything (they assumed he was physically obliterated) and when the question is pressed to Jean in the medical bay and she acts confused and dazed, it's further assumed that that's what happened. Again pretty much like the movie.

To be honest? At this point it's the lesser of the 2 evils. I'd rather have things left ambiguous and keep the hope alive. It's better to have a badly made scene and a badly written novel than to have a gloriously filmed scene showing Cyclops being destroyed by the one person who couldn't possibly have done that.

Does anyone have the EBook version of the X3 novel? If you do, send me a PM.

NO NO NO! no more personal stabs of any kind. That's adding unnessary fuel.

I wonder why they cut out the ending part about Moria
helping Magneto, kind of officialy implying that the cure is temperary.

Is that an actual quote of the official X3 book?
