Forza Horizon 2

Coming in November.. Original Forza team working on XB1 version.. Another team will be working in the 360 version. Happy about that.

Microsoft has announced Forza Horizon 2 for Xbox One and Xbox 360, IGN reported. The racing game follows the 2012 spin-off Forza Horizon, and is primarily being developed by the same studio, Playground Games. Forza Horizon 2 is expected to launch this fall.

The next-gen racer will seemingly be set in southern Europe and bases its events around a music festival. It's the second game in the series to launch on Xbox One, the first being Turn 10's Forza 5, which launched with the console in November.

Iv always been a big fan of Forza, but after Horizon, I don't know if I can go back to standard Forza. I love how Horizon created this narrative built around this music festival. Unlike previous Forza games, this one was really immersive. You deff felt like a part of this world rather than a face driver like the other Forza games. I do hope a little more customization makes it in to Horizon. I basically want all the customization and tuning found in Forza, to make it into Horizon.

I'll try it out. I wasn't a huge fan of the first one, but I didn't put much time into it, either. I'm more of a racing fan, and not an open world driving kinda guy, but I prefer the settings in this one compared to the first Horizons, so I'll check it out.

See I myself hate... Hate racers. I detest the main Forza series. I recognize how good they look and I get why people like them but I find all racers boring and du.

However.. Horizon is a chill driving game.. I can relax and just.. Drive. Between what it does and what Burnout Paradise did (we'll never get another.. Sigh..) those are my types of racers.

I dunno, I've been a huge fan of racers since the GT series back in the PS1 days. Then my PS2 crapped out on me the week GT4 came out, and I couldn't afford a new system, so I just moved over to the Forza series since I had an XBOX. And since then, I've been enjoying it more than GT. Kinda disappointed in FM5, but it's still a really fun game.

But again, I'll give this game a chance. I'm interested in it.

Iv always preferred simulation racers to arcade racers as arcade racers don't require any real knowledge or skill. I participated in Autocross my first year of college and got REALLY big into the sim racers. I remember playing Forza 3 for like 6 hours straight, literally doing NOTHING but tuning my car and testing it on the track. Lately iv pretty much stuck with the Formula One games, I haven't played Forza 5 yet.

Really my only dislike of Horizon, was that the customization options and tuning weren't as deep. I mean i understand you aren't racing on a circuit, but id still like more options, but other than that I loved it. Still retained some of the sim aspects while being one of the most lively racers iv ever played

Is that the Sony game or the Ubi game? Neither one screams hardcore sim to me, but more of a balance between arcade and sim. Both look pretty cool tho.

Not really. Its closer to Forza or Gran Turismo than say Burnout, BUT, its deff more of a casual racer than those two games. The tuning options are limited and its really all about the music and exploration of the world than pure racing.

So I know it's just a demo but I'm already in love with this. I love the atmosphere they set up right off the bat. The music, the scenery and the machines on the road all mix beautifully.

But yea I agree. The first Horizon is prob my fav racer of all time just because it felt so authentic. You truly felt like you were part of this amazing car and music festival. Such a cool concept. This one seems to do everything the first game did and just turns it up to 11. The weather effects from inside the cockpit of a car are just gorgeous and the rally races are super intense. Really cant wait to just cruise around this world some more.

I didn't realize this game was open world... wow, that might make it > driveclub, but we gotta wait for both to find out. graphics improved as well but I think driveclub still reigns in that department

It'll be better than Driveclub. Its based on the Forza series which is the best racer on the market and the atmosphere Horizon has is better than any other racer. Based on the videos iv seen, I do think Driveclub has the better weather effects though.

Yea that was an awesome opening video. I just hope the soundtrack to this one is as good as it was in Horizon. It should be as they have the same team back working on the soundtrack and the soundtrack has i think doubled or tripled over the first Horizon game

Yea, id probably have to agree with that

No, it'll be running at 30fps, which I believe Driveclub will also be in 30FPS, at least that was confirmed back in June, that could of changed.

Of the big racing games coming out, in terms of visuals id go 4).The Crew, 3).Forza Horizon 2).Driveclub and finally 1).Project CARS.
