I knew quite a few people with significant foreign accents when I was on active duty.

Fair enough, but for me the A-team was always the rah-rah America first kind of show. Also, Mads as Hannibal SMITH would be problematic. I love Mads, I have two autographed photos of him in my possession, but I know that in the Hannibal Lecter show that a lot of the audience has to really focus in terms of understanding what he is saying, and in the A-Team Hannibal Smith is usually the expository character who is responsible for explaining the plot to the audience.

hell no, he's all wrong and inappropriate for this show... maybe as a foreign villain, but not as a member of the team...

Yeah, agreed, and in terms of casting that's the model they should follow. A credible actor that a lot of people have seen before in either film or TV who needs to be current again, playing a role that the other fictional characters treat with some reverence.

Here is My Cast list discussing both if they were to change it up and add females and if they were to keep it all male...

First lets do the mix gender list

Bryan Cranston as John Hannibal Smith
Sure he has a few films recently but the man does enjoy television work as well I think he can portray everything needed to make a good Hannibal Tough Strong and ahead of everyone else by 5 steps..

Kate Cassidy/ Face
Yeah we all know it's the Face character that would likely be gender swap and since (SPOILERS) she died in season 4 of arrow I could see her moving to a different show entirely she is Hot and could easily play Face no problem.

Wesley Snipes/BA Baracus
Now Hear me out yes Snipes would be a different BA but again since we can swap Face's gender why not swap BA's Age and Snipes doesn't look that bad and with The Player knocked out well (P.S. I could also See Snipes as Hannibal)

Josh Radnor/ Murdock

I could really picture it for some reason


Of course if Face and BA stay the same Age/gender as the original I have no Idea who should play either really

Perhaps since (with the success of MacGyver) Fox likely will push this for the fall we could discuss each of the 4 before they are announced.

Just like the original, the BA role is totally one you can stunt cast for. Like get an ex gridiron football player or pro wrestler/MMA guy to do it. Mr. T was no master thespian, and nobody is expecting him to be replaced by one. Doesn't even have to be black, though there should be a black cast member at least. Snipes would be a good Hannibal though, just sayin'.

For me it's a battle between Cranston and Snipes in terms of who I think could pull off Hannibal better... Both could do the job serviceably and If either was cast I would be fine (of course if my predictions do come true wow MacGyver The A-team and Magnum P.I. all coming to television next year literally I would be the happiest guy in the world)
