The Dark Knight From LatinoReview: Joker Intro SPOILERS!

Please don't connect anything to the teaser trailer. The teaser is never indicative of what the final movie will be. The BB teaser went like this: "There is something out there in the darkness, Blah blah... And it will not stop until it gets revenge." Revenge? Batman in Begins never was going for revenge. That teaser that came out was a bunch of different dialogue chopped together. I'm sure none of what was said is relevant to the final film.

Actually the dialogue was written specificially for the teaser and was not included in the film. Much like how the dialogue for THE DARK KNIGHT was written approached the same way.

Actually from Wizard Con people said there is footage of Alfred saying the lines he does in TDK teaser. He is in the Bat-Garage when he says it from reports.

It was relevent. The mentality of Bruce Wayne in the teaser was reflecting the mentality Bruce Wayne had in the beginning flashbacks of the film.

True Carn, it was relevant in the general outline of Bruce's character in BB.

I've heard conflicting reports, like one having Nolan say the dialogue was devised specifically for the teaser. I don't remember where I heard it, just that I heard it.

^ it's absolutely true, and he said it at Wizard World!... It's like this many times. Some things is made specially for a teaser trailer, and nothing more.

Incidentally, and completely off topic, I've just been banned from BATMAN ON FILM for having the gall to point that some of their members were whining about JUSTICE LEAGUE and insecure about the Batman franchise's future, and then using the magic of the dictionary to point out that those words can't possibly be conceived as insults in the context I used them in.

Apparently that's an insult where Jettler is concerned. Maybe I "insulted their intelligence"?

Eh.

Entirely reasonable post Guard. It's not a surprise that they have very few regular posters that aren't moderators

What was your handle there?

TheGuard2003. So it was outdated, but still...I just think it was a childish reaction on their part.

You underestimate yourself. You do have a way with words. You could probably have made them feel insulted using only prepositions and well placed punctuation.:yay: :oldrazz:

Hmm, well maybe we watched different movies but BB was pretty strait forward that Batman did take down the head crime boss of the crime syndicate that was choking all of Gotham. He took down Falcone and is putting fear into those who try to do this work.

Batman made a HUGE dent in their way of life. So yea I could see the whole mob seeing him as a threat, some one they can't buy off like a cop, something industrucable. Now with the Sons of Batman running around in TDK he has started a revolutoin where the good are standing up to the evil and corrupt. Of course they want Batman dead. All of em do.
When you really think about it, Batman had little to do with actually taking down the mob, yes he busted the delivery of drugs, he tied up Falcone, but more than likely Falcone would have been able to get out of it in a technacallity. Scarecrow was the one that really made sure that Falcone wasn't coming back.

"Do you want to see my mask ?" One of the best lines of BB.

Wait...what? I am comfoosed (not a difficult task) why did they ban you?

I like BOF as a centralized place to get news that isn't excessivly spoilery...but when I go to their community section...*shudders*

I haven't been, but I heard it was like sitting in the closet with the lights off and someone laughing on the outside, Holding the door shut. Man, that just brought back some bad memories, I'm going to go cry now.

Wow, an some think SHH is strict. that is beyond ridiculous.

Didn't we all kind of suspect this from back when the sides came out based on the lines - this really isn't anything new or news worthy since we have heard it MONTHS ago

They banned me because someone said "JUSTICE LEAGUE is looking like it will suck", and I had the gall to point out that only insecure, whining fanboys think this is the case. Then they went into their twelve year old "This is a house of God where we don't throw insults at each other, we exist in likeminded harmony" routine, and I defended my statements and pointed out they couldn't be insults, and were not meant as such.

But hey, whatever, I was dangerously close to convincing the BOF flock that Chris Nolan might not walk on BATMAN 3 just because JUSTICE LEAGUE utilizes Talia. Almost bet 100 bucks on it.

I don't understand it either, "whiney" is huge insult to them there? They kind of have a "holier than thou" batman fan attitude over there.

You made excellent points about the JL movie btw.

So...high school?

Do they REALLY think that just because JL uses the daughter of a character in one of his films, Nolan is going to be so upset that he is going to leave?

I think Nolan might feel that doing a film now is a bit of stepping on his toes because the movie Batman is his area at the moment, you know? I don't think he really cares that much. Hell, the fact that they are intergrating Batman Begins even slightly into Justice League should tell him "Hey, we liked your movie so much, we are using it as our jumping board!"

So unless they say "Begins didn't happen, screw it" then I think he will be fine. :-P
