"From The Pages Of..." Comics Universe RPG: Season I Signup/OOC Thread

Only for the simple reason that there's no way I can keep all these dates straight.

:csad:

^ Sad Manhattan.

Sad Manhattan existing in the future with other Sad Manhattan ->:csad:

Eddie is double-approved five days ago.

First matter of buisness, the roster is updated. It's not properly formatted yet, but I wanted to get everyone on there before I went to research each character's individual font.

Secondly, Keyser Soze will remain on the roster as Randall Flagg for the moment, due to the circumstances of the character. If you're reading this, Soze, just tell me whether you'd like to remain or not.

And thirdly, well... I'm going to propose something a bit controversial to help us along with our storyline options and possible interaction. So bear with me on this.

As we know, the game didn't start with two characters being applicable, so to up the ante already on a mass character limit would be, IMO, a grave mistake. So that's not what I'm going to propose.

You see, we're currently short on villains. And that's an understatement, to be honest. We just really barely have any villains at all. Jason Vorhees is the only one I could officially consider one, and my descision to throw Keyser in there brings us up to a resounding two. But it's not enough. We can't go around doing both heroics and questionable heroics to make the game thrive on. There has to be a real prescence of, dare I say it... evil.

So, what I'm suggesting is a third character slot open only to villainous characters. If you wanted to play a villain, but your quota is filled, there'd be the option to apply for one anyway. And would it be judged a full fledged villain (you wouldn't be able to add a walking the line character and just label them a villain), you'd be approved.

Or maybe I'm overreacting. I'll let you guys be the judge. :o

That's good and all, but I do know that a Nite-Owl post would be very much appreciated.

Touche. But we've had an additional person to the fight, maybe that can motivate me.

Now that I think about it, we both better pick up the slack over there. If we're counting on GL to carry a fight, the season will be over before it's finished. :csad:

Sounds pretty good to me. A couple of things though, while Jason is the closest thing to villain we have right now, I really consider him more a walking the line anti-hero more than a straightforward villain. If you want a really hardcore straightforward villain, I do have one in mind.

And one more thing, perhaps it's just me being a neurotic perfectionist, It's Voorhees, not Vorhees.

RG, is it just me or do I smell a potential Rorschach/Darkman teamup?

It's either that or burnt garbage.

But yes, I think they'll probualy be meeting up sometime in the not so distant future.

I can see it now.

"What the hell is wrong with your face?"

"I could say same thing you."

Ha!

"Do I get to break his fingers, or do you want to?"

"Hurm."

Once my Magneto arc is finished over in OU, I may pick up a villain here. All depends if I still have the desire to post as Supergirl in OU.

But my villain idea may be just too tempting.

Screw it...it's time to get evil.

From The Pages Of... RPG APPLICATION

Screen Name: Carnage27

Character you'd like to portray: Oroku Saki aka The Shredder

Superhuman powers, traits, other attributes of interest: Oroku Saki is one of the world's greatest masters of ninjutsu, if not the greatest. He is incredibly skilled in hand-to-hand fighting, but is also deadly with swords, staffs, spears, and shurikens.

Shredder dons a suit of armor that strikes fear in the heart of his enemies, and also doubles as a weapon, including a set of razor sharp claws on his left hand.

Few have faced the Shredder and lived to tell the tale, but rumors of the ninja master using the dark arts during battle and healing from wounds almost instantly are well known.

Originally appearing from (which comic, and company?): Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mirage Studios

Fictional history of the character (as you're going to interpret it):

Not much is known about Oroku Saki before he put on his mask and became the villain known as The Shredder.

Known in the meta-human community for decades, Oroku Saki was a well know super villain and leader of the ninja syndicate, The Foot, well before the time of The Purge.

The Shredder is known as a deadly combatant, and only the bravest of the masks dared to oppose him and The Foot. Well respected and fear, The Shredder went into hiding after The Purge, during which he killed over 10 masks, it is said.

Talk of Foot ninjas appearing never stopped, though. It now seems Saki is on the verge of announcing his presence yet agin.

And with an army of ninja warriors at his disposal, it will take more than four turtles to stop him.

Hero, Villain, or Walking the line?: Villain all the way

List a few reasons why you chose this character:He's a great villain, and with the entire American branch of The Foot at his beck and call, he represents a threat to all the heroes in our universe.

How will this character differ from it's original incarnation?: He's going to have powers. The extent of these I'd rather not get into

I'm planning on him being a major threat. He isn't going to be some bumbling idiot they made him into on the cartoon, and he isn't going to be some petty, theiving crime lord like the movies. He's going to be pure evil, and he has his sights set on New York.

Write two complete sentences explaining what you can bring to this RPG: A villain, who has plenty of character, and an army of ninjas to release upon our little band of heroes.

How many days a week you intend on posting in the RPG: As many as needed

Please provide a small sample post as your character, at least three paragraphs and one line of dialogue in length:

*Coming soon*

Do you know how to post pictures on the Hype boards?:

Tracy's allignment isn't sure at the moment, so anything's possible.

(if someone's interesting in teaming up with a hot blonde with an attitude, perhaps someone involved in the government *wink wink*)

Well, why I wait on MB I might post another entry into Rorschach's Journal.

Rorschach's Journal: February 28th

Went to Dreiberg's house, no one home but Jehovah's Witness.
Tortured him before leaving.
Evil must be punished.

:oldrazz:

So keeping my current characters and also applying for the Comedian isn't an option? :csad:

I promise, I'll make Indy devious.

There should be an addendum to this new rule: Watchmen characters are exempt.
